Mock drafts / UH draft talk/ AAC draft talk

He’ll likely catch on with a summer league team and have a chance to impress there. More than likely, he’s headed to the G League or Europe.

  • Shamet went to the Sixers at 26
  • Evans went to the Warriors at 28
  • Frazier went to the Magic at 35
  • Milton went to the Mavericks at 54 (Later traded to the Sixers)

Also:

  • Cincy’s Gary Clark signed a 2-Way contract with Houston
  • Tulane’s Cameron Reynolds signed a Free Agent deal with Sacramento
  • Rob Gray to Houston
  • Obi Enechionyia from Temple signs with Detroit

Pardon me ignorance: what’s a two way contract?

They were introduced last year and allow NBA teams to basically sign a 16th and 17th player to their rosters. Those that sign a 2-way contract can only spend up to 45 days with the NBA team…the rest must be spent in the G League, and there are no guarantees that the player will spend any time with the NBA team. The contract can be spread over 2 years, but the time is cumulative over however long the contract is signed for.

Good example of this was Quinn Cook for Golden State this year. Cook was initially signed to a 2-way contract, but played so well when the Warriors suffered a lot of injuries down the stretch that they waived Omri Casspi before the playoffs and signed Cook into a normal contract so that he could play in the playoffs.

Thank you, Patrick. Glad he’s with the rockets, i really do like his style of play.
