Maybe CMA believes in our interim DC and wants to see how he does in the bowl. If we go out and shut down Army and wonder where this was most of the season it would be a huge statement.
If he can shut down or limit Hawaii’s pass-happy offense, that will certainly get my attention.
OMG, he is from Houston, wife from La. and coached at Texas. A lot of coincidences.
I won’t hate Blake Baker as a hire (I’d like it way more than Naivar for example), but there’s a much better DC (Adam Fuller- Marshall) in C-USA that would also get a huge pay bump if he took the UH job.

I mean obviously no guarantees, but he seems to check all the boxes and I would have a hard time seeing him turning down over double his current salary.
Absolutely! What he has done with their run defense this season is fantastic. They havent allowed a 100 yard rusher all season i think!
