Quentin Grimes (Update: Houston)

The relevant part to Grimes getting eligible.
" (Sidenote: This development also isn’t good for Kansas, which was charged by the NCAA with more serious violations than Georgia Tech earlier this week. If the NCAA shows any kind of consistency, it’s reasonable to assume KU will get at least what Georgia Tech just got – and probably more – unless it can successfully argue that Adidas consultant T.J. Gassnola was not a Kansas booster. Good luck, as they say, with that.)"

Don’t this will affect a Grimes decision, but there will be a delay for any further schools:

*And that means that schools like Louisville, Arizona, USC, Auburn, Oklahoma State and others should be spared for at least a couple of months. The normal deadlines in place have been suspended, prolonging this process because of the weight and knotted-yet-delicate details of the cases. *

If the request is granted as expected, we won’t have significant movement again until around Thanksgiving at the earliest.

That’s ridiculous to assign guilt arbitrarily. They should all hang together.

You have to remember that we’re talking about the NCAA , one of the most corrupt organizations on the planet

They’re like a cartel. They’ll punish the schools that bring in lesser money :moneybag: and notoriety= ratings. Tv deals.

I’m ready to whoop on any team in the country with Grimes. Dude is special.

Seriously… why is this decision taking so long? What is the NCAA doing?

I remember some years back when there were a few posters that were really touting Josh Pastner and lambasted our AD’s every time they hired someone else. I always suspected this guy was not on the up and up and am so happy we avoided this slimeball.

Hes a glorified James dickey…without the slimness lol

Very select posters touted him because of his dad’s connections, despite no real experience that merited him even being mentioned as a candidate.
Memphis took a chance on him when 4 other candidates turned them down for the position.
He brought some talent to memphis but was always very undisciplined and was trending down and had lost his team. Quite a few started transferring and beind dismissed. For some reason GT came in and saved Memphis, pleasing the majority of the fan base by taking him off their hands. Predictable GT is now regretting their decision.

Grimes should have the same result but you never know with the NCAA.

That seems like it would bode well for Grimes.

do we know if we’ve even applied for a waiver yet? wasn’t it discussed earlier that we hadn’t yet applied?

I don’t know how this process works but if they are granting others waivers who left the same school for the same reason, then Grimes should get the go ahead pretty soon.

DePaul is in the Big East who is on a pretty level playing field with AAC the last two years I think we’ll get the nod. Return to hometown helps too.

From Kansas might be the real key.

I think this video might seal the deal for his transfer… Snoop and Strippers. Keep it classy KU (adidas) :clap:t4:
