Dog gone it Rhule, why did you go prevent D and let the whorns score a TD with 1 second left? Yeah, I know, it doesn’t matter in the long run, but you could have embarassed them even more.
BTW, the announcer was definitely praising UT unduly at the end there.
Wow,four head bumps, with the last qualifying as a knockout. So, reason the Horns lost was Coach Herman was incapacitated by stupidly and may be questionable for the Tech game next week.
Herman knows his only true success is due to fact that he inherited Greg Ward, Jr., Elandon Roberts, William Jackson III, Steven Taylor, Kenneth Farrow, Matthew Adams, Tyus Bowser, Cam Malveaux, Adrian McDonald, Brandon Wilson, Howard Wilson, Demarcus Ayers, Trevon Stewart, Kyle Postma, Steven Dunbar, Linell Bonner, Chance Allen, Ryan Jackson, and Tyler McCloskey.
Texas may have the recruiting stars…but that’s always lip service until proven.
I think it’s Texas Tech turn to poach us if/when Dana has success at UofH. At some point CDH will want to compete for a National Championship and coach at a Power5 school.
We had the schedule this year to make a legitimate run at a playoff spot. Herman had the schedule in 2016 to make a run at a playoff spot. We were mentioned.
It will happen to an AAC program
…Dana knows this. UH has a shot…maybe a better one than at West Virginia. Plus, he makes the same amount of money, has access to better recruits, and gets to live in a city…a real metropolis…not the boonies.
2016 was the only shot any G5 in FBS history had a chance to make the playoffs had we won out considering OU made the playoffs that same year and Louisville was #5 when we beat them
Sumlin and Herman were recipients of Case and Ward’s talents. Both were transformative players capable of dominating their conferences.
Sumlin lucked into Manziel and quickly became average on his departure. Herman inherited a very talented QB at UT.
Of the Triumverate of Scorn (Briles, Sumlin, and Herman) the latter may very well end up being the least talented coach in the bunch. And he is definitely my least favorite of the three.
