2025?

Years back, Texas International Airlines bought out Continental Airlines but kept the Continental name as well.

OMG. That is a classic line. I may have to steal this.

Cap Cities bought ABC

El Dorado Resorts just bought Caesars

The list goes on

It was the Atlantic that I read and posted that projected that Texas and OU earned 50% of their broadcast revenue in 2020 and emphasized why the Big 12 Leftovers were in trouble with ever getting revenue in that ballpark again.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if it is actually north of 50%.

more like 25% for the tiny 8

It might have meant 50% when they were in the conference. Meaning that when Iowa St, TCU, etc have a guaranteed home game against them every two years. Baylor is more valuable when you get guaranteed good ratings playing UT or OU. If they lose that game, they lose a lot of value. Factor that in and it would be more than 50% UT/OU were actually worth.

The rights to UT and OU’s 12 (6 a piece) home games are worth 50% of the deal, but the other 8 still get a big boost since UT or OU will be in their 6 home games. Change that game out for Memphis and surely their value drops.
