#237 HCU

Tulane, in the 200s, sure has fallen from recent years. I suppose a good part of the Tulane demise was failing to adequately replace Pierce who went to UT.

3-2 HCU, after 1
Plenty of time to go.

Our starting pitcher wasn’t impressive, but believe it was his first time to pitch this season, was pulled pretty quick.

Gut feeling is that this will be one for the ages

Given up 12 runs and made 3 outs total in 5 appearances.
Its hard to get your mind around.

No harm done. 3-3.
Ayers needs into the 5th to set up for Memphis.

B3
Uhse.
The 2 out Slam. UH 8-4.
5 runs on 2 hits.
Some of the HCU curve balls looked like pitch outs.

Was that our first grand slam this year?

10-5 UH bottom of the 7th.

13-7 Coogs heading to the ninth

Coogs have 10 hits but HCU has issued 10 walks and hit two batters.

We could probably switch pitching staffs and never miss a beat l.
But I wouldn’t mind having Berkman at UH

As head coach? How long has Berkman been at HCU?

Think this is his second or third year. But I think he could bring some excitement back to UH baseball and would have a lot more success recruiting at UH.
Rice won big with a former Coog so it would be nice for a returned favor

Coogs yielded just one BB last night.

Yes sir.

Under the Big 12 flag it would be quite different in recruiting.

This is Berkman’s second year.

Coogs injury news. :grimacing:

I hate to see anyone get injured but honestly he’s not a quality D-1 pitcher.

He’s 25 years old and had thrown a little over 8 innings this year.

Its all we got Pollard!:smile:

Edit: In a positive note, I do remember him from last yr or 2 yrs ago in Conf Tourney where he came in n pitched multiple inns to get the Coogs to next round which I thk was the Ship gm. But anyhow… Pitching Pitching… Coogs need.

Well even at 50 I can run it up to 80 and and snap off a “Daryl Kile-ish” 12-6 curve ball….it’s a lot more impressive from behind an L-Screen 45ft away….LOL
