2 years in a row with bad portal acquisitions

That’s my recollection as well.

Not a fair comparison.

Uzan plays pretty well in my opinion. He needs to stay out of foul trouble and be there in the final minutes.

In all 3 of our losses, we have had a lead in the final minutes. We have not been able to close. Uzan has been out of the game in the end in at least 2 of those losses.

Our bigs are not holding up their end of the deal.

Shead’s don’t come around often. And remember Shead grew with each passing year. He wasn’t an all-america when he stepped on campus as a froshh. We want to compare people to the greatest common denominator. You aren’t going in the portal and finding a junior or senior Shead-level player. At least history says not for UH. People aren’t that smitten with playing in Houston. We’ll need to develop our own next Shead.

You’re kidding right…

BOOM!

$head!!!

For those doubting $head’s accolades as a player…

Anyone calling Uzan bad acquisition is just a fool and not really worth having a discussion.

Just stay off the keyboard for the week.

I get the turnover & foul late by Uzan was bad.

But hes the only guy who can get in paint right now with the drive. He settles for his floater, which could be more consistent

But, Ive seen better things out of Uzan than Damian Dunn last yr

Uzan has the athleticism to guard. Dunn did not.

$harp gets in the paint with his drive, too…

$harp had 9 FTs… rest of the team had 8.

Portal acquisitions this summer: point guards

For those wanting Jeremy Roach, he probably wasn’t interested in us. Baylor was a good fit

Lamont Butler gritty defender, transferred to Kentucky. Shooting 29% from 3pt. He wouldn’t have fixed our offensive problems

SDSU had 8 steals we had 1…

We had 12 TOs… they had 7…

The list goes on…

Uzan has not had a single good game against a good team. Fouled out 2 times in those games. Consistently in foul trouble and turnovers in bad spots. Doesn’t get in the e lane enough. For those he gets in the paint, he had one floater last game. He is not aggressive enough to run our point. We need someone pushing it in the paint and dishing out. He doesn’t have that in him 7 games in. Haven’t seen it

Who is on your list that can walk in and do that at our level?

Taze Moore, Josh Carlton, and Quinton Grimes are examples of good transfers.

Milos Uzan is not.

In our 3 losses he contributed not so much.

It’s not nearly enough of sample to make a ruling on Uzan. No one mentioned besides maybe Grimes was having an impact before the injuries took hold

Now if we’re still getting similar results in January then the ones down on him now would be proven right

We should be celebrating that Uzan does not have the Dunn head fake and lean in for the shot. We saw that once too many times.

Neither of those are PG’s in the pure sense.

Taze, Josh, Quinton, and I’ll throw in Dejon and Kyler too… All of them had an adjustment period. Against the bottom half of D1, which was most of our schedule, they all look great, but they all struggled against quality competition. Especially at the beginning of their first year.

Milos’s stats per minute thus far are as good as Jamal’s junior year.
If Milos isn’t a much better player by the end of the year, I will eat my shoe.

Not denying the worthiness, but I believe Shead needs to make multiple consensus All America teams in order to qualify for HOF. That’s the requirement for football, anyway. Maybe not CBK. I could be mistaken.
