2020 bracketology

This is a common trap people fall into, but teams get bids, not conferences. There isn’t a magic number of wins to get in from a conference or bids a conference gets or NET rating or anything like that. It just depends on how one team’s tourney resume looks compared to everyone else.

Our teams came into conference with an okay, but not great OOC performance. That was going to make it hard to get a lot of bids. A team like Tulsa, who did poorly OOC, doing well in conference play magnified this. We got kind of screwed with Washington completely falling apart.

Everyone is slobbering over the Big 10 because their teams collectively picked up a bunch of good wins OOC and allowed the teams in the conference to raise their profiles and build good tourney resumes because of that.

TJ is right. Last year everyone was drooling over the ACC. They had 3 #1 seeds and 7 teams overall.
Lunardi said yesterday they have 4 teams total this year no one else is gonna make it.

Come on… there is no P5 bias. :sunglasses:!

I really don’t care who gets in with us either. Hell, it doesn’t seem to hurt Gonzaga. But a couple of teams going deep will help next year.

Some experts are even thinking the Big 10 is so good top to bottom it’s possible they get 21 teams in, if everything falls right and there are certain upsets of bubble, teams on selection Sunday.

One important thing to remember is that payout is per team per game for 6 years. More teams in more we make.

Most important: Houston getting in, then conference mates.

Exactly as it is constructed…that is to favor the so called P5 teams.

Which is why allowing P5 teams in with losing conference records should NEVER to allowed !

Why are they playing at the same time? Guess I’ll be flipping back and forth!

Big ten will also have the highest percentage losing in the first round. Criminal what goes on.

Not everyone likes him…but I’m on board with Charlie…and apparently he’s on board with the Coogs…

Charlie knows hoops…which is why he was so down on the Coogs for so long. He was just telling it like it was and is doing the same now.

The more tournament games other AAC plays in the more we make on it.
But for the sake of winning the conference title I am fine with a Cincinnati loss to Memphis tonight.

Joe Lunardi just updated today. Still has us as a 7 seed playing Florida and then most likely Duke afterwards

The good news with the latest one is we are back to 3 teams with Cincy a last 4 bye and Wichita as a 10.

that would be a horrible scenario…having to play 2 teams stacked with 5 star …just to make the sweet 16 . especially when duke is seen as the favorite to win it all this year by many
you dont want those type of games till the sweet 16…

Everyone is beatable this year. Parity has finally come full circle and blue bloods are no longer totally dominate. North Carolina, Kentucky, and Duke are all average this year. Watch Seton Hall or Drayton make a run this year.

On the flip side… if we somehow get past them and into the S16 I like our chances lol

dayton isnt a making a run, and when bracket season comes im calling an upset on them…
Dayton rose to notarity for beating Georgia and vtech, who at the time was projected to be good…they turned out to be bad…they have no truly not worthy wins

if we are a 7 seed, we pray we get the dayton bracket…
if possible i just want to avoid the blue bloods, dealing with 5 star talent in the 1st weekend is how you get upset…
