2020 bracketology

Goal is to at least make the Sweet Sixteen. The current projected 1 seeds are all really good, especially Baylor. I wouldn’t want to play any of them early in the bracket, especially when our team is inconsistent at scoring the ball.

Lunardi will be adjusting his bracket on Memphis now. Barring a revival they’re toast.

I see what you are saying but my point is that none of these one seeds are dominant and can be taken down.

I agree with this - it is very hard - at least for me, based on what I have seen, to argue that there is a dominant team this year. Of course, since Coach Sampson said much the same - I can plagiarize shamelessly and try to seem intelligent since Sampson is almost always right. Just as a case in point - tonight Number 1 Baylor is barely hanging on, at home, to beat Okie State.

While the #1 seeds are more vulnerable than in years past, this year’s UH team is young especially in the backcourt. Much prefer a #6 or #7 seed than a 8/9 to get a tourney game under their belt first before facing a #1.

I agree I think well end up a 6 when it’s all said and done and possibly a 5 as our ceiling.

Palm only likes Houston in AAC at this point. Disaster if this happens.

Yes, didnt stutter…that is who I want!

You actually could have stuttered when you tried to type it.:grin:. We will never know! Just messing with ya.

Why? Take the path of least resistance to final four. Fools rush where angels fear to tread. There is nothing macho about showing up though the most difficult route only to find that others have reached the mountain summit and are back home.

Yes we want easiest path no 7 or 8 or 9 seeds

Can one actually stutter in print? A stutter is involuntary, so since typing a stutter is a planned action, it isn’t really a stutter. So, no you didn’t stutter.

Rosie palm forgets that the conference tourney winner gets in. And we’re not guaranteed to win it. I still think Cincy will slip in…I think.

TeamRankings has Cinci as a 7 seed and the AAC as a two bid league currently.

Rooting for Cincy and Wichita to win tonight. We still have a shot at 4.

Getting 4 based on how everything is set up right now would probably mean we have to lose a couple of games to build up someone else’s profile or have someone else get the autobid.

I am not rooting for that at all! Even moreso with us having a somewhat light tourney resume without many Q1 wins.

I would take 4 but it pales in comparison for the love and hype the Big10 is getting…they are on track to get 18 teams into the tournament at this rate!

Based on last year the magic number in my opinion is 23 wins (including any in Fort Worth) for an AAC team. You get that it will be hard to get left out regardless of NET and all that. Temple got in with that kind of record last year with a not stellar NET.

It is extremely important that the AAC get as many teams in as possible. Someday we are going to win 20-22 games and come in 4th in the league. I don’t want to go to the stupid NIT in that situation. Remember CUSA days 20 wins meant absolutely nothing. The AAC needs to cement it’s place amongst Major 7 conferences.
