2022 Bracketology

Throw away the AP Poll for now. This is what to go by. COOG fans should be rooting for UCLA, UT, Wisc, Providence to lose.

Edit: TxTech was right outside the #2 line. So Win on the Road will only put them closer

No Q1 wins and a crappy conference what do we expect lol

That’s It. The Truth hurts sometimes. But that’s it in a nutshell.

I only care about winning our regular season conference outright.

Conference tournaments are a joke. You play all year to see who is the best team, then have a tournament to pick the champion???

Let’s face it…conference tournaments are only played for $$$$$$$.

The NCAA is fun and icing on the cake !!

I Agree w/ this very much! Forget abt whether you’re #14, 16, 18… Win the AAC Reg Season Title. That’s what CKS wants n all he cares about at the moment. Must go 2-0 next 2 road gms.

Hopefully we win our 6 next so the Memphis game is irrelevant and we can rest our starters for the NCAAT

The only thing that pisses me off about the NCAA, is the fact that they let teams from the so called P5 conferences in that were sub 0.500 in their conferences. Those teams had all year to prove themselves.

Yet, small conferences only get their “tournament” champion in as a single bid. Sometimes there is a deserving team, but they lose in the final of their tournament…

This is BS and needs to be fixed !!

Off the soapbox !

Actually next 5…but I agree. That last week with 4 games in 8 days will be hell due to limited roster.

At least 3 of them are at home.

OTOH, we could win the next 5, then fake COVID and tell Memphis to bite me !!

You may think I don’t like those cheating SOBs…You would be correct !!

Conference tournaments give everyone a fair chance to compete for the NCAA’s. It’s a second and last chance to teams that might have struggled but grown during the season or had to overcome injuries. It’s part of what makes March Madness and college basketball special.

Hopefully that won’t happen this year. The MWC, WCC have some deserving teams that should be in The Dance.

We will just have to disagree on this…

But don’t penalize a Team that went 16-2 during Conf in a Mid Major Conference, but didn’t win the ConfT. They get left out, leave out the team that went 11-9 in B1G , is what @EECOOG69 is referring to.

Totally discounts the Reg Season for those smaller Schools. Wish the AQ would be the Reg Season Champ.

Edit: its happened twice to my BearKats in last 5-6 yrs. Imagine going 15-1(BearKats couple yrs ago) during Reg Season n then lose 1 gm in CT n they tell ya, you gotta stay home. No Dance for you…terrible for those kids.

Or 9-11 as is usually the case.

Case in point, I believe the big10 (always overrated) had TEN teams in the tournament last year…after first week end…only ONE !!

They probably banked $18 to $20 Mil for those teams.

Wonder what some of the small conferences could do with an extra $2 Mil.

Maybe the TSU’s of the world would not have to play their entire non-conference schedule on the road in buy games to survive !!

See my edit above. Lot of $$$ at stake for the SHSU & TSU of the world to make Tourney.

Edit: SHSU keeps asking me for more $$$ then I already give them. I just tell them go see UH, they have the rest of it.:smiley:.

It’s nice for them to get in but USUALLY it’s just an a$$ whipping they get

I feel like its getting even worse, OU is 4-10 in the B12, 14-13 overall and is still in the bubble

Them being even mentioned as one of the first 8 out would be awful

It’s all about the $$$ for the smaller Schools. Budgets are tough. So making the Tourney is huge!

I think all 350 schools are members of the NCAA.

Since all of the big boys are in it for the GLORY(Ha!), one option would be for the NCAA to pay expenses for all of the teams in the tourney (with a limit), then divide the rest of the hundreds of millions divided evenly amongst ALL NCAA members !!

Yeah, like that would happen.

It would expose the hypocrites immediately.
