2022 MLB Playoffs:

Sometimes when a player signs a multi million dollar contract, it changes the player’s motivation to continue to succeed, to get better.

A word that comes to mind is resting on your laurels.

Quick 1st inning.

“and will be made up Friday at 1:07 p.m. at Yankee” Stadium.

Astros looking good. Valdez is pitching like we hoped. Tucker HR. Good defense.

When Altuve makes plays like that, I just dont see how we could possibly lose

Castillo isn’t going to give up a lot of runs. It’s up to the Astros to chip away at him. Valdez is usually vulnerable in the early innings. The deeper he pitches the better he gets.

I’m the words of Joe Walsh….
The smoker you drink, the player you get.

Just saying.

I had seen Castillo pitch three times this year……first time was really good……last two times were not quality starts……he was also only throwing a fast ball at 95-96……now he’s throwing 99 for strikes….yikes.

Barry Zito

Josh Hamilton

Yordan. How sweet he is!

Pressly can’t throw a strike and he’s topping out at 93 with the fastball….wtf?

Carlos Correa on the postgame panel. Seeing him asking Peña questions was bizarre. Lol

Definitely some awkward there.

Glad the Astros won. Another nail biter.

Presley makes me nervous. IMO, he is a setup pitcher just like he was when Roberto Osuna was the closer, but it’s hard to argue his success.

“3. Houston’s victory reaffirms series dynamic
144 teams have fallen behind 0-2 in the Division Series, and only 10 have managed to come back and win the series – most recently by the Yankees vs. Cleveland in 2017”

I don’t want to whine away a victory but Pressley scares the Hell out of me in the playoffs.
