2022 MLB Playoffs:

Correa did a really nice job on the broadcast. There is definitely a future there when his playing career is over.

When Yordan is locked in, it’s like he’s playing T-Ball. Incredible.

Mariners have to win 3 in a row. Hard cheese with L McCullars and Cristian Javier on the mound and a highly motivated Astros team who happen to play well on the road. My guess is that Yordan Alvarez will be walked every time he comes to the plate with runners on.

Something seems off with him.

He had built his velocity back up to 96 give 1 mph either way……his fastball had no juice at all today….all junk balls……worked out today.

I didn’t understand staying with Montero for 1 and 1/3 when your guy with and ERA of ONE was just sitting there……strange IMO.

Saving Stanek for the right matchup? He’ll get his chance in Seattle. If not, then there may be something going on that we are unaware.

Stanek has pretty much matched up well with anyone this year. I thought it was strange that he didn’t at least come in during the 8th, but I’m sure there’s some reason.

Yordan is one of the best players on the planet :earth_americas: and he’s a good guy?!

If you look at the Astros as a team most of the guys seem to have that same vibe….good guys overall.

A lot of guys would have traded team equipment to get that ball back. Its gestures like that that create an aura around a player. Tells me a lot about the guy.

Yordan met and gave him stuff and let him keep the ball. What an awesome dude.

Barry Bonds is the greatest hitter I have ever watched in my lifetime.

Yordan isn’t far behind. The things he can do at the plate. Incredible.

I had a gin fueled dream last night that Astros signed Judge in off-season. :grinning: :grinning: I know was just a dream but good grief could you image having to face that lineup. I’d imagine Mr Judge is crossing the $40M/per threshold

It tells me he knows he’s gonna hit a bunch of homers, and that catching the ball was a once-in-a-lifetime deal for the fan. Taking the time to actually go meet him and sign some stuff is really amazing. That’s the Altuve culture at work.

Probably

Also thinking West Coast. Giants. Padres, maybe? How much money do they have left after Tatis, Machado, and Soto?

Giants make a lot of sense if he leaves the Bronx, everybody likes going home to play for their childhood team.

I just pray it isn’t LA.

I don’t know if we have any caps that big.

But seriously, Judge would be great for a few years….problem is someone is going to sign him to 10 years and 400M……is he going to perform like Big Papi and Nelson Cruz late in his years or is he going to be another Stanton? Maybe somewhere in between?

If you guarantee that over the ten years average being .280-.300, 40+ HR’s and 100+ RBI I’d say do it……

But, if he averages.250, 30HR and 80-90 RBI is he worth 400M?

What is funny is if it’s someone like the Angels signed him.( I don’t think they could sign Him and Ohtani)….
The Angels would still suck.
