Houston high school scene needs to improve the coaching and competition imo.
Didnt someone say if Duke offered hed go there. If he is leaving no way we are in the mix anymore.
He maybe pushing to get a G league offer. San Diego isnât a place you just move to from out of state either. Very expensive place to live.
LJ Cryer was hyped up a while ago and stayed. Not any 5 stars you are correct but he was getting attention a couple years ago.
So are high schools recruiting players from across the country now? I assume they have a westcoast franchise of the Penny Moving company.

TX & Dallas specifically is loaded in 2022
Iâm assuming he means his Houston high school and not UH, right?
I think he is done with Houston in general, college or HS. Who knows how he feels in 2 years but with him going to San Diego probably ends the chance of him playing at UH.
Moving around has been part of Griggs DNA. Started in Freeport, moved to
Angleton temporarily and then transferred to Shadow Creek before moving to Hightower.
Not a surprise if he moves again, and there is no doubt in my mind he wants to go pro in two years
So is he going to live with the coach or a high school booster? Do they have a dormitory of athletes?
Doesnât get much better than San Diego⊠Maybe he will wanna come back in a few years though.
You donât think he will miss Houston summers? In San Diego itâs cold in the morning in August. I went to boot camp in SanDiego in August and thought it was heaven compared to the heat of Baton Rouge.
Itâs a great town for sure
San Diego has the best weather in the US, year around. I enjoyed wearing a light jacket every night including in July and August. My house didnât have an AC, however, we did live one mile from the ocean though.
