We were 4 deep last year and one got injured early. Injuries are something you need depth for as in this case it was good we had 4

Just ran into Ramon at HEB. Asked how the medical waiver was coming and he smiled and said, “I’m good, I’ll be back next year.” I don’t know if that means he’s formally approved yet, but a good sign in any case.

Pop Isaacs underwent hip surgery on December 11, 2024, which ended his 2024-25 season at Creighton. This was his second hip surgery, as he also had one in the spring of 2024. He played in eight games for Creighton, averaging 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, before his season was cut short.
He has since transferred to the University of Houston for the 2025-26 season. Houston Athletics compliance officials will work to file a medical hardship waiver for Isaacs to potentially gain a second season of eligibility with the Cougars. While he’s expected to compete as a senior with one season of eligibility remaining, the medical hardship waiver could provide an additional year. The coach at Houston, Kelvin Sampson, has expressed excitement about working with Isaacs.
He had one before the 2022 season, as well.

So we basically replaced 4 veterans with 4 freshman and a Sakho. The talent gets higher but very young. I trust CKS.

Awesome stuff about Uzan. I’m a little surprised that Pop transferred. I thought he was looking to play with his friend Uzan and I was kind of excited about him being the reliable sixth man. Ah well.
The 2025 team was Sampson’s best ever at UH.
With Milos back it looks like the 2026 team will have even more talent.
