Looks like you may add Aberdeen to the list.
Apparently CKS agrees
I hope he is healthy and is first off the bench.
Word on the street has it a Florida guard will replace Milos soon via @dailycoog
Ramon coming back has sneaky similarities to Wilson coming back this year. Both played but were at the bottom of the bench, outside a few games. But this year Wilson sprouted up and became a huge peace to our team off bench. I see Ramon as sort of a backup 4, and if Uzan leaves he will probably be the first person to give harwell a break. I think he can play a bigger part of this team than some think
There is plenty to work with here. This roster is loaded. Having said that, Sharp should start- I want my toughest guy out there starting games. Walker has experience, and If he’s up to it (injury wise), should start too. Sampson probably 10 guys that would start at other schools and that is a GOOD problem to have. I think he will rotate a LOT of guys- especially at the beginning of the year.
I don’t understand why guys like Ramon don’t just transfer down a level (like to UL) to where they can start and create some possibility of playing in the NBA. Like that’s great that you are loyal to the team and want to help us win, but why not be a bit selfish and lookout for yourself long-term?
If you transfer DOWN- what does that say about how confident you are in your ability? Sampson gets them closer to the next level that transferring.
Because some are good being in a high level program they are passionate for opposed to transferring to another place just to get in the games more. The ultimate culture guy and still possible he plays more than some think.
Because he wants to play in April…
He can help us win and CKS loves him. Next question
He’s got one season left. I mean that’s great if he is confident to think he can become an NBA prospect over one season as an end of bench guy after all these years of not being able to see significant time on the floor. But he’s probably got another 60 years of life left… With his final chance of securing an opportunity to make significant cash, shouldn’t guys in this situation think about the quality of life after college ball?
Y’all are coming at me from a fan perspective. I’m thinking of this from a human perspective.
Yea that’s great. He shouldn’t think about how he’s going to feed his family in the future.
Facts. But the money is too good for a player with no NBA future. I think if he wanted to leave he would of done it a few years ago.
How much could Ramon even be making from NIL? He couldn’t make the same starting at a smaller program?
I was joking around about Lafayette Louisiana having a good nil because coach White brought in a 4 star top 75 player. But i dont think they have that big of a budget left after landing him or to start lol.
I dont know how much Walker is making next season but my guess is somewhere around six figures (100k). But im just guessing.
Maybe Ramon feels like his player development received at UH will help him to have a better overseas career after college… where he can make more $ than transferring to a smaller program for cash now…
He’s making more in NIL here than he could hope to command anywhere else. And if he transferred, it wouldn’t matter what G5 he went to. Additional playing time won’t change the fact that he’s not getting drafted to the NBA (just keeping it real ). He’s better off at here… getting paid… to earn multiple degrees… at no cost to him or his family.
Not everyone is gonna go pro & most guys understand if they have that sort of potential or not. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if some combination of Ramon, Mylik, Javier, J’Wan, & perhaps even Galen ended up on Kellen’s coaching/scouting staff at some point. For Ramon, that would set him up for many more years of winning at life without ever to leave home. That’s how he can feed his family in the future.
