I turned on the FCS championship game.
I am sure that Cody Campbell is not the one doing player evals and being told “If we only had this guy, your trophy mantle would run out of room…” Campbell listens, and signs the checks. Not unlike Tillman Fertitta.
If Texas Tech spends all this money and doesn’t come away with championships, and I mean national championships, the coaches will be the first to go.

Finebaum probably has a few million tucked away and can retire anytime he wants. He can say whatever he wants.
After some of the poopers we’ve been saddled with this bowl season, it was awesome to see a great college game like Montana State and Illinois State! Refreshing even.

Was looking over bowl game viewers. Here are the numbers I saw for the Big 12 plus a few others not in CFP.
Pop Tarts Bowl - BYU-GT with 8.7 million
Alamo Bowl - TCU-USC with 4.9 million
Liberty Bowl - Cincy-Navy with 3.4 million
- Below top 10 on this list:
Las Vegas Bowl - Utah-Neb with 3.0 million
Texas Bowl - UH-LSU with 2.9 million
Holiday Bowl - Arizona-SMU with 2.3 million
Sun Bowl - Az St-Duke with 2.2 million
Others:
No 1 non-CFP was Citrus Bowl - Michigan-UT with 9.1 million
Orange Bowl - Tech-Oregon with 15.9 million
BYU did really well in getting viewers against Georgia Tech.

It’s worth noting that the Pop-Tarts Bowl has become an event in its own right. A lot of people presumably tuned in for the Pop-Tarts rather than for either of the teams involved.
