To be fair, the sport that is giving him trouble is the one that matters. The others are nice to haves, but football is a need to have.
Could his quote about taxpayers and footing the bill also apply to politicians? Asking for a friend
I believe Ruhle got a bump in salary, but more importantly, he must have gotten assurances from Nebraska leaders that they will increase funding for football, so they can be competitive. Ruhle went public with his displeasure and Nebraska must have responded.

LSU is a mess. Hired the WRONG coach, fired him, then fired the AD who hired him. Kiffen has a great thing going at Ole Miss. No reason to leave. Dont think he does. LSU has to go elsewhere.

Click bait… I don’t think any teams are going to seriously consider Primd again due to his health problems.
I have seen the talking heads say that LSU is the best job available right now. Really? The Governor of Louisiana inserts himself in the conversation. LSU just fired their AD so no candidate would know who he is reporting to. LSU has one of the most delusion fanbases in the country, expecting to compete in the CFP every year. They have state-of-the-art everything in their football facility, leading to an entitled mentality with the players.
Best job? Not currently.

It’s a top 5 job if you take away the politics as you put it.
It’s a large, SEC brand in a massive recruiting hotbed with a diehard fanbase that spreads out into the entire region.
But agreed. That entire athletic program is wrapped in politics. No splash name is going to want be around it, and yet LSU feels entitled to a splash hire.

Say what you want about their Governor he’s dead on in his analysis of the situation. He also said he’s not going to fire the AD.

Kiffin is a noted jumper, but i dont think he takes the LSU job. Its a mare’s nest, with a fan base that thinks they should be national title contenders every year.

PLEASE! Elko is a smart coach, and he has a way better situation at AGGIE than the screwed up situation at Penn State. People up north may think its the greatest job in the world, but down here? Not so much…Elko not leaving. If he can beat whorn, he will attain immense status in aggieland. Sky is literally the limit this year. Aggie has been chasing the ghost of the undefeated 1939 champs forever. This year, maybe they catch them.
