Thanks for stating that. More often then not the obvious get missed. As CKS says are you owning or renting. The fans and I mean all and lot of them need to start owning. They have been mostly renting.

Wow! This guy is punching with two hands every time.

He’s already built very well.

I’m excited to see his development.

I assume there will be a reevaluation period before he graduates?

Yes, there is always a final rankings after senior year. He will get a big boost in his rating. If there are 244 high school players that are better than him, this is the greatest HS class we have ever seen.

Has UH reached the point where guys get a boost after committing to us? Lol

They absolutely should.

The last couple of classes prove UH only recruits big boy dogs.

Not to be overly greedy, but…any recent intel on what Koa Peat is thinking?

Nope. Still getting downgraded. Gotta remember that ESECPN runs college athletics.

Who’s getting downgraded in basketball?

Twas a joke ol chap.

No. I don’t see a decision happening soon. He’s in reset mode after the Cenac decision.

Thanks! Are we still a viable possibility for him in his reset?

Would he had committed to Houston if Cenac did not commit? Dont they play different positions PF vs C ?

All signs from Jo said that Peat was ready to commit until Cenac hinted at committing to UH

Per Jo, Koa was ready to commit to UH but CKS wanted to see if Cenac would choose us first. Cenac was our #1 as he is a stretch center and naturally plays the 5 which means Tugler can play the 4.

Issue is now that CKS is likely telling Koa that if he does commit to us, there’s a good chance he will come off the bench. CKS wants Tugler at the 4 as that is where he is best.

Koa will wait until spring to see how things are here. If Tugler ends up breaking out and declaring for the draft then that leaves Koa a starting spot.

This is the part I really don’t get. I cannot see going into the season with two true freshmen starting in our front court.
Seems to me it’s Tugler or a transfer starting with one of the two freshmen.

If the 2 freshman are first round picks and likely lottery, they will be starting. Koa and Cenac are special.

I tried to summarize what I learned of the situation reading what Jo has posted here. Maybe Jo or somebody else can further clarify if they know anything.

From my outside-looking-in POV: it feels like Koa knows this is where has the best chance to develop, but he wants to make sure he plays and isn’t forgotten by the NBA scouts.

Tbh i think i’d rather have a transfer than koa

Okay
