As the father of a kid that plays competitively (with D1 aspirations), I can tell you that kids nowadays 100% know who Hakeem is.
They haven’t seen him play but then again, kids don’t really watch games anyways. They get their info about pre-2010 players from highlights, TikTok who’s better videos, and 2k. And Hakeem is a beast on 2k.
