No intel. Peat could sign with any school but chosen to wait. Perhaps Peat is waiting to see how JoJo’s season plays out, hoping JoJo does well enough to go to the NBA. That would allow Peat to come to UH and possibly start sometime in his freshman year.

I’m not one for super jock riding, but I also like disproving things. So ON3 has him at #4 in it’s mock. Now do I disagree with that based on today? Yeah for sure. I also don’t know how we ended up here but happy to add to the apparent hijacking

I kind of doubt he is waiting on JoJo.
There might be a little bidding war going on.
I might be wrong but JoJo will be our five next year backed up by McFarland although I know Mc is considered a 4.

I think it depends on how far up or down JoJo moves on the draft boards….
There are some that project him to go round 1.
If that happens I think CKS tells him to move on to the next stage.
The Bryce James play from Arizona seems to do with them positioning themselves for Burries and Peat. Both are Klutch clients.

So Rutgers has Bailey and Harper who are just killing it ( Bailey just scored 39 and last week Harper had a triple-double…they are averaging over 40 ppg together) i don’t follow the Big 10 that closely….is the rest of the Rutgers basketball that bad?
With what those two are doing you would think they would at least be top 25.
That would definitely explain that offer….not that BJ can’t play but the Arizona offer seemed odd when I saw it.

Pretty sure Demin is expected to leave after this year, putting him in 2025 draft. I think I heard espn+ crew saying he was an expected lottery pick (25, not 26). Carry on tho

Still not really understanding the idea that Peat is waiting on Jojo to decide.
If Jojo leaves I think we will be looking for a starting level big in the portal.

context to add is that we are not great at getting touted bigs in the portal… bigs in the portal are treated like gold, becuase there are few and far between (there are tons of great mid major guards, maybe 1 or 2 from the mid major that will translate)… there will be maybe 10 total quality high major starting bigs, and the price tag for all of them will be crazy, and half of them wouldnt even fit samspon style to begin with.
i said this before, if it isn’t peat and jojo leaves… my legit prediction will be a greshmen type pickup, a older super athlete with limited production stats, that Sampson thinks he can can fit in our system, someone super athletic to defend and rebound…
Peat is likely to be better (and by a big margin) than any realistic portal pick up…
hot take is that peat would be top 2 in scoring for us if he commited here…
