This is what I heard from a credible source, Sampson told this person we are never wearing the blue jersey ever again if he is here, now if the University or Khator tell him he has to, which I doubt, then I’m not sure what would happen?

Not that many kids want to be back of the bench development projects. Lath was super raw but with potential. Still has time to reach that honestly but the clock is ticking for that. We might get a Lath as a senior that pops up and surprises us all, who knows

Please let these blue jerseys remain in the Cougar gift shop and maybe once a year for the football team. The fact that CKS doesn’t like them makes it almost 100% that they are dead and buried as far as our basketball program is concerned. Thank God.

I think we need to give the blue jerseys a pause for basketball. The blue jerseys were a de facto tribute to the Houston Oilers and made sense for football. For basketball, there is less of a connection. I say still sell merch with Houston Blue, because a lot a fans like it, but keep it off the court because it does not have the history that football has.

Actually, the blue unis’s were adopted to show the sky high heights the basketball team could aspire to and actually reach . . . . .

That might be the company line but any sensible person knows the color scheme is based on the Oilers colors and any other raison d’être is a post release fabrication, or simply, an afterthought.

sampson said we don’t get the most talented or best players, but we recruit on character (willing to work) and develop them when they get here.

Wow and that’s how you basically spun it to indicate Sampson doesn’t do a great job of bringing in transfers.
In Milos he was able to get the entire package, but you downplayed that all off season.
Now he may be the best player on a Final Four contender.

also ive hype Sampson at bringing in elite guards from the portal
i was disappointed at the time he commited because all american were on the table… like a week later i was heavily advocating for him… saying he could do everything that is traditional of a UH pg…that UH pgs normally arent great shooters… i said i expect him to a great play maker and defender…
if anything i called you out for playing both sides of a debate in the offseason… as i was hyping milos on being able to produce like shead… and you got upset that shead wasnt replaceable and i said you were just hyping milos… that you were getting mad at people saying milos wasnt good enough and would fall off but also upset if people said we were fine without shead
Kingston has been outstanding so far in the playoffs….an entire other level.
The talk of CKS bringing in Dedan or some other pg to play in front of KF in the event Milos leaves is looking more ridiculous by the day.
Anyone that has a chance to see this kid play live should do it.
