For the 2025 class, CKS offered a TOTAL of 18 players…with Bryce Jackson being the “lowest” ranked.
You should stop with your narratives and hot takes…(but you won’t).
CKS understands that kids WANT to come here now. We’re a BRAND now amongst HS players. Knowing that, he is HIGHLY selective in who he offers. And their character and home environment are at the top of the list of his requirements. It’s just that now, he can select high-character kids that have McDonald’s AA resumes, and not the kids like Shead, Sasser, and J’Wan…where they best/only offer was from UH.to develop once they get here.
The on-campus-expectation won’t change with Kingston, Isiah, Cenac, and Bryce. The support staff and Bishop will simply have more natural, gifted, basketball-ability foundationally than ever seen before.
You have zero credibility with that recollection.
He was a great fit and I left in there and I never felt a need to compare him with Shead. You downplayed him and always insinuated we didn’t land the one we wanted in order to defend that you didn’t have Milos first in your list.
I have like 8 long debates of me defending him this offseason …
Yes I wanted the all-American option and was disappointed when we didn’t at the time of the decision… but was quick to accept it after it happened.
And you never compared shared but played both sides on ever debate
anyone said we’d fall off because we lost shead - you got upset and attack them
Anyone said we’d be okay we can survive without shead - you got upset and attack them
I commented on The offseason how you were on both sides of the debate
It is simply amazing how far Milos has come since early in the season. Sampson knew exactly what he was doing when brought Uzan in!
No way I would have thought Milos would be playing with the swagger he is now.
Most didn’t think that Galen, Dejon, or Jamal would turn out to be as good as they did. Heck, there were daily “debates” on whether Deeky was even a PG!
I believe Sampson and the coaching staff are very transparent with recruits how tough the training is. No doubt, that type of training is not for everyone. Those that do accept the training benefit greatly, not only on the court but off. Sampson has created a family atmosphere; look how many former players come back to Houston for a game when their NBA schedule permits. Sampson also gives preference to former players who want to study coaching under Sampson. Mikhail Mclean and Ryan Elvin are examples.
If I am a 3 to 5 who wants to work his butt off to get to the NBA, Sampson and Co. will do everything they can to get you there.
You should see the bounce on this kid….best I have seen in my HS basketball coaching career.
That pic you see there was from almost a complete stand still….had no momentum if it’s the dunk im thinking of….he had two others that game that were ridiculous.
but from other mocks koa and harwell are seen as mid to late 1st depending on the mock…kingston isnt seen as a 2026 prospect, there are a few mocks who have him late 2nd
interesting is that the 2026 draft is looking like the big 12 and duke
