I think you can rest assured that Sampson isn’t bringing in anyone who is unwilling to work or has demonstrated laziness. This comment is only about the intensity of practices compared to a guy’s experience. And Cenac may not have had the opportunity to watch a bunch of practices like Kingston and some others.

@pesik Wow! And NOT feed Cenac in the high post? With his 3+ like skills? That would seem to be wasteful. Cenac in the high post with 3+ skills, alongside Peat with low post+ skills? Could you see a high post score (Cenac) if not then deliver a pass to low post (Peat) to score if not then a kickout to a 3 pointer (Sharp, TA, Uzzy, Miller, etc)? I’m not coach material but I understand good ball play.

This is it. It will be a culture shock for him. But not because he is lazy.

We are saying the same thing but I’m more emphasizing his floor spacing ability … we give it to him at the perimeter with his front to the basket.

cenac has true guard skills… most bigs can’t stay with him if they play him close at the 3pt line and his shooting is good enough if they chose not to play him close, he can drain it… that not only benefits him, it’ll completely remove a big (rim protector) from the post. To much threat from 3 to leave open

At the high post he is still playing back to basket which isn’t his game. Also Less room for the opposing bigs to cover (good for them) … and opposing team defending at the ft line is enough space that they can still play help on post defense … and it’s unclear if cenac will even demand a double team for the high low game. As cenac is likely just shooting the mid range

If he was talking about cenac he probably meant it as softness, less about lazy

Sampson has mention how armoni was one the softest players he ever recruited… and they just had Dotson beat him up in practice every day (basketball wise) armoni said he almost quit… that is likely what he meant…that he’ll be in for a shock going against Tugler and Lath in them cone drills every day

Kingston Fleming in the playoffs. The kid not only has good hops, but has great floor vision

Yes. Correct. Cenac has to get tougher. Have never heard anyone call him lazy.

Am not impressed with Quaintance. He looks lethargic and anything outside of 5ft is an adventure. Recruits should look at results and development over a few extra dollars or earlier minutes.

I see the word " lazy " keep coming up n that’s the word i used i guess unfortunately when i was trying to get more intellect on his Basketball work habits, since i no Zero abt on how he goes abt his day to day drills. Will make sure i go find post n change or delete bc it certainly wasn’t my intention t9 question any of his training.

Straight to the bucket with the yam

Another outstanding post.

Too bad we’re “stuck” with you.

Amen!

Koa peat has a broken hand and will miss the rest of the HS playoff (2 games left)…His Dream of 4 state titles in 4 years will now be in the hands of his teammates

he should be cleared by offseason practice for whoever he is committed to, but his participation in the mcdonalds all-american game is in jeopardy

likely speeds up the decision making process for him

Do you think that he come here?

We have a pretty good track record with incoming freshmen with injuries.

No sounds like he is staying in Arizona close to family

With an injury on one of the Micky Ds rosters maybe Mr. Flemings could get added.
