Willie tends (and trends) toward a little deeper commitment in the recruiting process for a couple of reasons.
He places a higher value on face to face, head Coach in the living room style recruiting and builds relationships early.
He Values Character as much as Athletic Ability.
He also turns 3 stars into 4 and 5 stars, so we don’t start out with a recruiting class that other coaches “necessarily” see as all that attractive, until those 3 stars kick his 5 stars asses on game day.
Then it’s too late…

Do you all remember these pre season rankings from all media? From National media, espn, in state to the local media what is their explanation today?
We had so called specialist, experts, senior analysts. I can’t remember all of their titles.
Many predicted we would finish last. We are now at 9-3. What I would like to know is how many schools were predicted to finish at a certain position and where they ended at.
The so called “scientists”, specialists, senior analysts or experts ought to be ranked by results.
Have any of you seen such a ranking? They ought to be one. After all don’t they rank every team?
The best “analyst” should get a prize. That would be legit.
