DOMINANT 2nd half from our Coogs (although they had us in the 1st half, im not gonna lie 
).
Excited to see this team maintain consistency throughout 3 or 4 games (for the most part), and the connection between defense, midfield & forwards seems to be solidifying.

So they look like a well coached team? I’m not a soccer person so I’ll have to rely on you guys for the breakdowns.
Yes, I think. First game I’ve seen this year.
First half was kind of sloppy by both teams. We gave up a goal we shouldn’t have.
But the Coogs were everywhere in the second half. Constant pressure. Great passing.
When the Coogs got in the Horns’ third, they were relentless.
Coach looks like he’s a good one. I guess his success will come down to recruiting. Around ten transfers this year.
Announcers said Carl Lewis was full. I’m sure Texas brought fans and that helped with attendance. I’m going to have to make a couple of games in person.

I’ve seen all their games so far this season…you can definitely see the Coaching impact on this team, and the signs are cause for excitement & hope, given that this is year 1.
Also - they’re more fun to watch now…controlled, attacking game style with competing effort & strength (à la Kelvin Sampson) 
I’m not gonna say we’re gonna win the Big 12 (it’s a strong inter-Conference season this year), but we should be fighting for a position to get into the NCAA Tournament, imo.

Yes, lots of transfers, but many were his players at SFA, and lemme tell ya: they’ve been impactful.
It’s not always common to see players make the jump to P4 and compete efficiently, but so far, they’ve complemented, & dare I say, even elevated the team.
Excited to see how we match up with oyr Big12 peers. So far we’ve only played Out of Conference teams (with the exception of Sam Houston, which got canceled due to weather last Thursday).

UH Soccer HC, Ben Williams, was on Soccer Matters with Glenn Davis on 97.5 ESPN Radio today talking about the win against Texas.
This is the 1st time I ever hear one of UH’s Soccer HCs on there live…he had great things to say, including describing the type of culture they want to set here in Houston, the kind of program they’re trying to build and how they want to keep not only Houston, but Texas talent at home.
One of the things that caught my attention was CBW sayi g that he also wants to see the soccer team connect with the community.
He didn’t elaborate on how (other than wins, one would assume), but that’d be a major feat if he’s able to accomplish that whilst leading a “non-revenue” sport, and certainly one that our admin hasn’t paid too much attention to historically.
