Just tuned in. I love v-neck jerseys with simple stripes (like Stanford) but this Utah one isn’t easy on the eyes.
Interesting bunt defense by Utah with men on 1st and 2nd. They have SS break to second and stay on the bag which I’ve never seen at the high school level or above. Since it’s not a wheel play they have 3rd staying home and pitcher taking the 3rd base side which leaves a giant hole on the left side. If that’s the case then why not just pullback and hit a grounder through that side? They did it on back to back pitches and then played straight up bunt defense when we had two strikes on us. We ended up fouling a bunt attempt off with two strikes for out number one in case anyone missed it. Weather delay immediately followed.
ESPN+ says the game has ended. Did we just lose to Utah 4-2 since it was the bottom of the 7th or will they resume tomorrow?
The guy couldn’t get a bunt down.
What makes you think he can pull his hands back and hit it through the 6 hole? 
I’m sure they will finish it tomorrow but it would be some kind of Karma on TW if the umps said more than 5 Innings were complete, reverted back to the last full inning which was the 6th.

I was thinking more along the lines of that you’re giving them a free out with the bunt which is fine if you get the guys over. Just saw a rare opportunity to pull one through a giant gap in the defense for an easy hit to load them up. I’d say a majority of the guys I played with would be more comfortable trying to pull a ground ball than getting a bunt down to the third base side. Good bunting form is so rare these days. And man did they hang that last one to him.
Game resumes at 4PM and the 2nd game starts 45 minutes after that.

Beautiful Saturday night, Coogs fighting for a tournament berth, and the stands are empty. Nobody cares other than to follow on-line. Including me.
So sad for the players.

It is sad. Zero energy for/from our Baseball Program for years now. We all know the issues, the question is does the Athletic Department finally care enough to fix it ? All that aside…

Just a horrible aura around the whole program. There could not be more apathy directed toward the program if you paid people to be downtrodden.
