2026 is really Year 1 for Fritz

lol coaching didn’t cause CW to lob it into double coverage in the end zone on the 1 yard line. Coaching didn’t cause our solid kicker to suddenly get the yips.

I’m conflicted. 1 I really like CWF. 2. His game plan is boring. 3. Is the game plan just boring based on the current roster. Either way, this season has exceeded my expectations. I’m genuinely excited about next year.

Bull Crap, coaches took the week off.

I’ll be excited for next year when I see proof that the offense is better. Until that happens, we are what we are.

So giving up net 133 yards rushing, 293 passing and a 53 yard punt return equates to good defense? Nope!

Boring and conservative. We settled for a loss today. Unreal

If you all were expecting an Air raid offense… I don’t know what to tell you.

They scored 17 pts and forced 4 turnovers. So yes, good defense, my god.

We expect a coach that gets paid millions of dollar to win a game that was gift wrapped for him.

This isn’t a volunteer position…it’s a highly paid job

Do you know what the winning % is for a home team that gets 4 turnovers is?

We were +3 in turnovers.

Also…WTF was that kneeling with :48 seconds left in a game you are LOSING…just giving away Posessions.

That kind of stuff makes me not want to be a fan…just quitting

Don’t tease us…

If Willie were to get poached tomorrow by a bigger school (which is still possible), you’d all be up in arms. Keep that in perspective. For a school who normally fills half of our small stadium each week, we should be happy to have anyone willing (who is proven) to build a program for our whiny, fair weather fanbase.

My 2 cents

I think next year is our year for sure… but man, losing these extremely winnable games to WVU & now TCU have really ruined my morale regarding this team. If it weren’t for CFW’s relentless efforts on the recruiting trail, I’d likely be checked out completely. What could’ve been :pensive:

I absolutely HATE the passiveness we play with at times. We’ll go for it on 4th & goal, call a stupid fade pass to boot, & then airmail it right b4 halftime. Like be aggressive or not. I can’t stand the inconsistency

Allowed 17 points…good defense!

This gets me, too.

Yah but in reality this is year 2 and next year is year 3. We stunk in year 1, made progress in year 2, and hopefully will make progress again in year 3.

Don’t get your hopes up is what I’d tell them. He’s an old coach and the air raid doesn’t seem to be the style he likes.

I don’t have a problem with that if it works. The problem is it is getting Kim Helton like (run, run, pass, punt).

It’s pretty bad when 9 out of 10 times, I can tell if it’s a pass or run by the way we line-up. If i can tell that, so can opposing coaches.

From what I’ve seen of Fritz, he seems pretty comfortable adapting the offense to his personnel. I think if we had the kind of offensive firepower to gun it up and down the field, he’d be fine doing that. I also think, having watched the last eleven games, that it should be apparent that we do not, in fact, have that kind of talent out there. He was absolutely putting boots on throats at Sam.

Weak ass post. We threw the ball 30 times yesterday. The problem is we only got 5.3 yards per pass. Outside of Amare were don’t have the receiving corps and Conner was rushed heavily from the get go. Conner missed several when Kozy was open.

If you wanna throw it 60 times per game then fine. Get ready for a 4-7 record and three hurt QBs with our offensive line.

Yes, most of our fans also see this…as we telegraph our play-calls. And we seem to lack any imagination or use much, if any, deception.
