I thin Weigman is hurt.
He has regressed, but I think it’s due to injuries that the public maybe doesn’t know about.
He’s always dealt with nagging injuries throughout his career

You helped me make my point.
The past is the past.
Willie is the future.
O-lines don’t change as fast as other position groups; unless you have 10’s of millions of $ to buy the best players in the portal; and Willie has made clear he’s not going that route. He’s building a Program, not buying a team.
If you don’t think Willie knows the o-line needs to be better, I don’t know what to tell you.
I know he is working on it and will get it fixed.

We have never been able to recruit the type of O-Line that Fritz needs to be very successful.

And we lose a lot this year in the trenches.

One thing that’s certain is that an offense like this year’s won’t either unless it’s paired with an all-time great defense, and even then…
The offensive system isn’t the point, though. Virtually any of our “video game” offenses would have put us in the CCG this year because we had speed all over the field and multiple playmakers, and OCs that did a great job of utilizing those players. I’m not sure we have any of those things right now.

Yeah, his throws have been noticeably less accurate the last couple games. Something’s up. Dude came into the season throwing darts.

We lose those, but we also need to replace 1-2 others if we want to see improvement.
Also, when I said “in the trenches”, I was including D-Line loses too.
I think Willie is on the right track, and I think he has us ahead of schedule on the rebuild.
It’s nice to be 8-3 and possibly 9-3, however not all 8-3’s are the same.
Just like Dana’s 12-1 wasn’t the same as most 12-1’s……
We were very fortunate with our weak schedule this year.
It won’t be that way next year.
Our trenches will need some major addressing. Major.
