Tre really cost himself $$$$ as he struggled down the stretch.
Teams are getting away from the college bats with the questionable hit tools.( in the early rounds).
Be interesting to see where he goes.
Mid-season I think he was a 2nd round pick….early 2nd even….but now?

At 5’-11” is he undersized?
High school picks are risky, but I would not have objected if they traded up one spot with the Texas Rangers for Gio Rojas, LHP. Won 4 straight state titles.

OK, so what are the odds that they sign and go to the minors as opposed to enrolling at UH?
They will probably both sign.

SEC schools lose tons every year….its part of the game.
IMO, Kaufer could come to UH, have a monster year in the BIG 12 and move WAY up draft boards.

Milwaukee’s 18th round pick last year was a HS RHP who they signed for $757.50k. If Bell gets anything close to that, he’s gotta take it.
Kaufer is a senior so next year must be his last year of eligibility. He’d be wise to sign this year even if it’s for only $100k. He’s unlikely to get nearly as much next year, unless he goes in the top 5 rounds or so.
He needs to sign or he loses all of his leverage. He would be lucky to get $10K next year.

If what he did before he got hurt this past season is real he might bet on himself.
Anything remotely close to that performance would move him up significantly despite being a senior.
But yeah, and average season or slightly above average would be a loss….
