2026 recruiting, 2026 roster - eligibility

It would be tremendous if Ramon comes back gangbusters. But what about Mercy? I think he will be much improved in his shots. He seemed to be trying to rush or force things last year. I believe our staff will help him see the game in a slower mental frame. Mercy did play good defense and rebounded well for the few minutes he played.

I hear you, but Ramon is still higher in the pecking order than Mercy for me. He’s a vet with the type of experience needed for a team to make a title run. Mercy has a very high ceiling, but he’s got a lot to prove before jumping Walker imo.

That depends on which version of Ramon we get if you are comparing him to Mercy.

You have to take Mercy over the version of Ramona that is hesitant to shoot and score the ball.

Mercy will take a step forward this off-season and he will be a bucket next year.

Ramon is an example of perseverance. He has had injury and personal issues delay his development. He could have transferred but chose to stay with the program and overcome his setbacks, under the guidance of Coach Sampson and the staff. I am really hoping this is a breakout year for Ramon. He has been loyal to the university and the university has been loyal to him.

Ramon will provide the spark next year that Mylik provided.

Ramon Walker and Mercy Miller will have to fight to make the rotation. The talent level at Cullen is at a all time high. Im counting on Milos returning.

If he shows out in practice then he’ll start.

I don’t understand why some of yall are so quick to down Ramon as if he wasn’t a major reason why we made it to the Sweet 16 just last season. He’s shown up in big games in big ways, yet y’all act like Mercy is the proven commodity here. Sickening

Neither one of those guys is gonna start imo. They’re pushing for time in the rotation

Ramon was not a major reason we made it to the Sweet 16. He only played in 8 games averaging 11.25 minutes and 2 points per game played. He shot well when he was in shooting 6 of 12 overall and 2 of 4 from the 3. That’s only 1.5 shots attempted per game. But again, he was not a major reason we made it to the Sweet 16.

Sure Mike

Looking at our roster we have 4 seniors (2 of which have redshirted), 2 juniors, 5 sophs (3 of which have redshirted), and 4 freshmen. That is not a young team. I think we will start 3 seniors, 1 junior, and 1 freshman. I see all of our freshmen getting minutes (unless one is redshirted), but not without a mixture of upper classmen.
