I can’t plug Isaacs into the starting lineup knowing that he’s had two surgeries on the same hip.

But he’s got the potential to give you 15 points a game

So does Arceneaux.

I’m just saying that there are too many unknowns with Isaacs to just assume he’s a Day 1 starter. We have guys on the bench that can run the point if Flemings isn’t ready for the full-time job, but scoring from those guys is iffy.

yeah but unless uzan makes a u-turn and stays, what other guard combo would start the bulk of the games after early season lineup chnages?

Interesting. Hearing Milos pushed for Pop.

TA staying put.

That…is a fascinating development.

Arceneux had his chances all year. That guy has no shot at 15 a game. He goes missing for the entirety of games. Just look at his season this year

TA came back very quickly from a very tough injury …it is still in his head …one more year and it should be in rear view …he has big time skills …

Arceneaux played the whole year on one leg. Achilles injuries are career enders and this kid is out there trying to play. I hope he stays

I read elsewhere that Milos and Pop are friends and Milos pushed to have him here, which means Pop is replacing LJ and Milos is staying one more year.

If that’s the case, Milos may have said he’d leave if he doesn’t have a good supporting cast next year to make another run. Not only would he be 24, he’d be with a very young team.

I’m pretty certain that the people that matter don’t look at it that way…like at all.

TA may start next year - if the coaching staff looked at him the way you do, you would never have seen him on the court. His shot looked really good when they went in - funny how that works.

Can he score 15 ppg on next year’s team? Maybe not, but the list of players who will be in that discussion is very short. LJ barely got there on this year’s team, and nobody else was really close. Isaacs ain’t scoring 15 ppg over the course of the season for this team, either.

I know things are closer to the pro’s now… but I don’t see Milos telling Sampson that he’s out unless he gets veterans around him. Sampson tells these kids what is up and if they want out out, they’re out.

I love Isaacs move because he’s a true D1 top PG and even if injury prone he can start the season, mentor Kingston, and hand it over if the hip brings him down again. That’s worst case scenario.

You are correct

This is definitely the best case scenario

Uzan & Sharp start no matter what. TA and Pop would share that 3rd starting guard role based on matchups. Kingston, Mercy, & Harwell would all come off the bench, but they’d play a bunch of minutes.

I think so too. I bet he’s being tampered with right now to coax him into entering the portal.

The chemistry with Milos Sharp and Pop will be crazy good. Then you have Harwell Miller and Kingston off the bench. Does TA play more of the 4 position or does he transfer? McFarland and Cenac will man the 4 spot. Forgetting McCarthy who Coach said shoots like Cryer and Sharp.
