2026 Recruiting

I’m still unsure which position Paris would play. Between him and Groce, we would have good flexibility and could be somewhat unpredictable for defenses.

The plan is to play Paris in all 3 phases. The plan for Groce is to play him as both a RB/WR.

Just curious… It’s a safe assumption since they’re a powerhouse of a program for decades and been receiving big amounts of cash being in the Big 12 and now SEC.

Just wondering if yall have actual knowledge of how much Oklahoma spends compared to UH. Donors as well.

Need UH to catch up soon if they want to compete in the playoffs consistently. I’m guessing one 10 win season out of Fritz kinda evens out the playing field considering UH is in the Big 12 now and are always renovating something in the football program.

Because in basketball UH has top 5 spending purse according to @Joprior23

Didn’t OU file for bankruptcy recently ?

In basketball, we got em. No question. In football, we aren’t there yet. If we could get in bidding wars with OU we would have not went 4-8 last year. Give Fritz’s that money and we are hanging banners. I don’t have the exact amount but I know it’s more than us. But that’s what $177 million in revenue will do for ya.

Fritz’s will start winning games and then….

Yes, UH athletics’ revenue = $78 million vs OU athletics’ revenue = $177 million. Advantage OU

You know what would make for a better weekend? A boom or two. Not expecting any, but who knows? The staff seem to be busting their tails.

Lost a really good offensive lineman today to Vanderbilt. His final three were UH, Washington, and Vandy, but I heard he was down to UH and Vandy.

That would be a reverse boom.

Seem like a fine young man. I like rooting for players like that even if they don’t go to UH.

Man I said it here last week. Vandy has been recruiting Texas hard lately.

Indeed and what other schools were trying to recruit him. Disappointing especially coming from Midland.
Besides the ones that have committed to us updates please for the following players:

UH has not had many recruiting successes over the years in the Midland/Odessa area. Midland High School vs Odessa Permian High School is one the the State’s oldest rivalries. Odessa Permian is the high school in Friday Night Lights. Those communities go nuts over high school football.

I think until UH started upgrading its facilities, Midland and Odessa Permian had better facilities than UH.

We were in Virginia a few weeks ago. I met a family from Midland at a museum in Richmond. We talked a little bit. It was very apparent they loved their football.

Cy Fair had better facilities than UH for years …

Northern Virginia, Virginia Beach and Newport News are very fertile recruiting grounds for both football and basketball
