We are so used to the sky is falling when it comes to UH football that when things are going good we expect Lucy to pull the ball away and fall on our backs like Charlie Brown at any minute.

BTW, great story by JD at the Chron with lots of great quotes from Ed Oliver. Highly recommended:
“A guy from Houston playing for Houston and taking the team to heights it’s never seen before, there’s really not a better opportunity,” Oliver said. “I tried to get guys to see that when I was there, and even after I left. If you’re that guy in Houston and go to the University of Houston and become that guy, you are solidified in the greater Houston area as a legend, literally. People still know me from the guy who was a five-star that went to the University of Houston more so than things I’ve done in the NFL. They still remember the craze and the buzz that was going on when I was there.”
Henderson said he embraces the opportunity to buck the trend and stay home.
“It’s kind of a full-circle moment,” Henderson said. “Everybody says the same thing (like the H-Town Takeover) is happening over again. It’s a cool experience to be at the forefront of something you’ve seen before, embrace it and look at it and say, ‘This is cool.’ I want to leave the program better than when I got there.”

This is what cracks me up Butch….people act as though whatever happens when he gets to campus is going to be a big surprise.
As though neither Kei nor CW has spoken to the coaching staff about the plan is for each of them.

It just happened. Everything was late with Legacy starting late and running late. Then Keisean did a presser which took forever to get started. He was signing a lot of autographs and taking pics with classmates.

On ESPN - they have a ‘signing day take aways’ article top of main page - in that article - in the section titled ‘which teams have overachieved?’ - UH is top of list with a lengthy section that is all positive… really refreshing to see that. By the way - immediately below UH in that section - SMU…

Do you think Arch Manning blew his shot at the NFL because he redshirted at UT, sitting behind another 5 star upperclassman? I may be wrong, but I think Manning still has at least a remote chance of being drafted.
Not sure I’m following you. I believe the response I responded to implied that CW was going to transfer from UH, apparently out of fear the new 5-star would take the old 5-stars job. My response was to underscore the dumbness of that line of thought.
I think a redshirt is the best move for Henderson, personally.
