2026 Recruiting

So remind me how many times have the likes of UT-Austin, Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, etc, were put on probation while they have been paying the most $$ for players for the past 50 years.

Arch also donated 100% of his NIL his freshman year, so yea, he technically was sitting for free.

could be wrong but NIL is unlimited from actual cleared deals through the clearinghouse run by Deloitte
the cap is what schools can pay

“Arch also donated 100% of his NIL his freshman year, so yea, he technically was sitting for free.”

Sounds like typical UT bogus propaganda

Yeah, if you would buy it, they’d have you believing that poor Arch was eating Ramen noodles and panhandling down on 6th street.

Question: does the state government print shop still pay UT players off the books?

Man….UT is living rent free in some of y’all’s minds.

Arch, nor the Manning family needs NIL money….he was able to do something good with the money….good grief.

Right… but Deloitte has to approve it… right?

Whereas today you can get what you can get…

The NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) cap, as part of the House v. NCAA settlement, is expected to go into effect on July 1, 2025. This means that starting on that date, NCAA Division I schools can begin directly compensating student-athletes for the use of their NIL, with a revenue sharing cap of $20.5 million per school.

  • The cap is expected to increase by approximately 4% each year, potentially reaching around $32.9 million by 2034-35
  • Those payments will be in addition to scholarships and other benefits the athletes already receive. Starting June 7, players have to report NIL deals of $600 or more to the College Sports Commission.
  • LBi Software and accounting firm Deloitte will monitor salary cap management and the NIL clearinghouse, an online platform called NIL Go.
  • Those NIL deals will be outside of the revenue directly shared by schools and will be vetted to determine if they are for a valid business purpose – not recruiting.

Katy’s McMillian to UK. Is he related to Audray?

He was definitely getting paid more than just $102K.

Donations to charity reduce taxable income. Setting cynicism aside, Manning donating that $100,000.00 to Ronald McDonald House in Central Texas. Ronald McDonald Houses all over the country are a Godsend for families with serious ill children who must travel to receive treatment. Say what you want about Manning, but he was very generous to give that money to such a worthy charity.

Incidentally, both Willie Fritz and Kelvin Sampson have supported the Ronald McDonald House.
