Never assume someone on a message board will recognize something.
It also applies to many here and at other schools with both medical and other reasons for not being able to make a game.

So people with good reasons not to attend can sit in judgement over people with excuses? Some people can’t handle the heat, some people can’t handle strobe lights.
Totally agree…
It’s those with no excuses (reasons) that should be marketed to.
I agree nothing will help more than Winning, but the Coogs are already doing THAT…
Again, agreed…
No “judgement” here…
Heat can definitely be a reason for many to be unable to attend. However, they are not changing game times based on temps as the games are based around TV slots. Complaining will not change that one. I do find it funny with how many complain about the heat, but then drink a bunch of beer at a tailgate or during the game. Alcohol will make the heat worse through dehydration.
Have not seen much in the way of strobe lights during the football games. Maybe just a brief session of flashes at the start. Plus that is a very small number of people.
Travel from other states obvious a challenge for a few. One reason I wish there were better home and home OOC games and not just pay for one and done to get 7 home games. Again not likely to change.
Friday nights is just a stupid excuse.
No… but many “reasons” are excuses…
I won’t be there to sit next to you for the first couple of games but my seats will be filled like they always are…
I’m thinking about coming down for UCF, Okie State & Baylor games…
The level of competition, Friday night games, early morning games, the heat, and strobe lights. I’ve seen it all here. We need a thread just to keep up. The point is, someone with a reason not to attend should not sit in judgement over the excuse makers. Maybe if you have a reason not to attend, you sure can contribute in other areas. Are they?
100
If we want to get into semantics…
In general, “Reasons” tend to be “Good Excuses”, whereas…
“Inconvenience” (things like parking issues, etc…) tend to be “Bad Excuses”….
Good to see you can make it into town for 3 games. Travel definitely falls into reasons (maybe excuses for the multimillionaires)
Doubt I will be at UCF (BYU is in Fort Worth that day) but should be at the others. This year has only the one conflicting home game (of interest).
This probably needs to apply to a lot more than just attendance…
(Agreeing with you here, not judging)
I don’t attend many home football games anymore for a variety of reasons. I try to travel to at least one (1) road game, and I attend most bowl games. I have only went to 1 basketball game over the last couple of years, but I don’t miss a game on tv. I was definitely in attendance at the national championship game. Just because you can’t make every game as a Coogfan, doesn’t mean you don’t care. Some people are more active than others. IMHO, the tv broadcast is a great product!
This is getting crazy, believe me when I say, I don’t care if you are there or not. My point in all of this is, if you aren’t there, don’t judge the rest of the no-shows and you’re good in my book. No-shows are just no-shows.
Hey, if you want to attend a basketball game with me, DM me during the season, sometimes I have a spare ticket
Again. No judgement here Marine…
You seem to be pounded “judgement” a lot harder than I was promoting attendance.
I’m not the Attendance “Flag-waver” on this message board. All I’m agreeing to is it’s a factor.
Large, loud crowds make the opposing QB’s job more difficult to convert 3rd downs…
If you say “no excuses” that is a judgement.
Disagree.
But not judging you for having a different opinion…
None, it will come down to the competition and the game time. I bet the two November games will be well attended
You may be right?
But I know military appreciation games, in the past, have boosted attendance for a LOT of programs…
As far as the November games go, I agree…
Quality opponents. likely an undefeated (or 1-loss) UH Squad, and cooler weather.
No excuses…
LOL
Wrong again my friend, deer season is the favorite excuse in November
