I used that building to do work sometimes. It was always quiet. Ugly though…glad its gone.

We voted for rec2000 as students and approved the funding for it from student fees in the late 90’s. I voted yes thinking I would never pay for it. Then I dropped out and came back and had that fee line from 2007-2009. 
I am on course to get my Ed.D. In fall of 2027 as the last graduation of the 100th. All three of my degrees will be signed by Renu.

Farish Hall is officially leveled
Little Dipper repping UH off Main Street. Also love what they’re doing with the promenade expansion, cutting off cars from the street, expanding sidewalks, adding a bunch of overhangs and shade. Still got quite a few blocks to go, but it’s good for the area (FYI: Intentionally waited for nobody to be in the shot to get a better pic, alot people on Main Street today)

New Dining Hall being built by Cougar Village on lot 6b:
Building Details:
- 3 stories
- Floors 1: controlled entry area, food storage, MEP areas, and loading dock (wonder if there’ll be dining space)
- Floor 2-3: Kitchen, server areas, and dining spaces.
- 64k sqft
- 24 hour dinning hall
- floor elevated 3-4 feet due to 500 year flood plain
- Demos an existing parking lot
- Expected finished: Q2 2027

They are going to demolish Moody towers and the dinning hall.
That’s why they are building this dinning hall to replace it

Back in the day the Towers were great.
It’s a hard sell for kids today to have to share a communal bath. Wimps.

I was thinking the same thing, I remember 1 year in the Quad a suitemate painted his whole body red for the first football game, the only game he attended, and washed it off in our shower and there was red paint in there for the rest of the year because he and his roommate refused to clean anything.
