That’s really disappointing. The staff was reportedly recruiting him hard. He was supposed to have his OV to UH May 28-30. Even more important to keep Raiden Cook from flipping to Tech.

This player is in the class of 2028, but I did not want to start a new thread so I am posting here.
C.E. King WR Dillon Mitchell, won the 100M Gold Medal at the UIL State High School Track and Field Championships, in Austin, TX yesterday, running 9.92 in the 100M. Mitchell is listed at 5’8", 155 lbs., and has the nickname “Fastest Man in Texas”. He has been offered by UH, and some of the top teams in the country, e.g., Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, etc.
On3 has Texas the favorite, with UH, then Texas A&M, but it is still early. Imagine if Mitchell return KOs for UH. I keep thinking of Barion Brown, the LSU receiver who returned the opening kickoff in the Texas Bowl 99 yards against UH. That youngster looked like he was shot from a cannon.

Out of some of the players that we are currently recruiting what are a couple names that would be “ BIG GETS” for us that seem likely possible or probable?

I would love to snag a few recruits from Northeast Texas. Lots of recruits up there. Baysinger is starting to pick-up some nice D1 offers, and he seems to be gaining momentum. FWIW, Baysinger reposted UH commit Cael Thigpen’s tweet. Both are DEs.

OL Thomas Muiruri has a massive frame (6’8"), arm length (35.5"), and wingspan (86"). UH coach Eman Naghavi is all over him.

If it’s between UH and Tulane, I like the Coog’s chances…

Prospect from Jersey Village looks pretty good! I think Cael Thigpen has what it takes to make it to a star at this level! Dominated in his spring game and no one could stop that boy.

It’d be hard not to. Stanford and ND are the two nicest campuses I ever visited.
That said, Stanford hasn’t had a season with more than four wins since 2018. I watched part of their Hawaii game, and most of their ND game last season, and in neither game did Stanford look even close to being a solid P4 program.
Hopefully, he’ll see greater upside in our program.

Guys. Brayden White already committed to Stanford. Lol
I guess he liked the Stanford campus… lol
OV season starts today. Springtown linebacker Rome Ewell is a part of a big group on campus at UH.

UH is hosting a large number of 2027 recruits this weekend. Let’s hope UH gets some commitments before they leave.
