2027 Recruiting

Keep close eyes on this one.

I see where we are hosting a kid committed to Colorado. I am kind of leery of kids that have committed to a school and are still visiting other schools. That signals to me that they aren’t really committed and are just using the school thy are committed to as a place holder while they shop around. Should they decommit from another school and commit to us, how do we know if their commitment to us is anymore solid than there previous commitment.

CWF told last weeks commits “You’re a commit now. It’s kind of like a marriage. You can’t go cheat on your wife. You can’t go talk to other schools.” Yet, here we are talking to kids committed elsewhere. Recruiting is a strange business.

It’s like I tell my wife. “Just because I’m on a diet, doesn’t mean I can’t look at the menu.”

Looking at the menu is fine, but sampling the dish isn’t. My wife expects me to look at pretty women just as I am sure she looks at handsome men.

An OV is just a look Mike…

Ehhh… maybe more like a date…

Size, not productivity, is the reason Williams-Callis is not a 5 :star: across the board. He is listed as 5’ 7.5", 190 lbs. ESPN, 247, and Rivals has him listed as a 4 :star:. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football (DCTF) Magazine lists him as a 5 :star:. With over 70 offers, DCTF says Williams-Callis is the most heavily recruiting football player in Texas this season.

That covers a lot of real estate.

He has the Rogers Brothers helping him. He sees eye-to-eye with them

Landen Williams-Callis (LWC) is on the cover of DCTF

LWC could become the all-time leading rusher in Texas high school history. He needs to average 240 yds/gm for 16 games to break the record.

Have the Coogs offered him?

It appears we’re on his radar, or visa versa…

Yes, UH has offered LWC.

Thanks.

I see that now.

He has over 70 offers and the Coogs are in his top 6…

Sam Thiergood is one of Houston’s newest football commits. He went in depth with Martin Marroquin about his visit, his commitment, and how throwing the shot put has translated to the football field.

I especially like the part where he “cancelled his other visits”…

He’ll probably be a longhorn.

I enjoy reading Martin Marroquin’s player profiles. You get to know the player behind the facemask.

There are only 13 5-star players (on 247) in the entire country. Two of them are RBs.

He’s the #3 RB in the country, #1 in TX.

He’s going to get hundreds of thousands of dollars from whoever he signs with.

Have you heard any news about the players that are having their OV this weekend? I know some of them have already committed to UH, but several were un committed going into this weekend.

No. I haven’t been paying attention to his interests. Just found out who he is on here. Who are his top ten?
