2027 Recruiting

Coach Bell is a great guy….very authentic.

I sent a kid his way last fall( top 100 Nationally )but the kid was a little too far down the road with another school.

I did a little online research and other than his being 6’6”, I haven’t seen any real stats or highlights that show him being a standout player.

Does anyone have stats, highlights, star rankings, etc…?

Just being 6’6” and playing for a top HS can’t be enough to warrant an offer at UH. Somebody saw some potential in him.

I’m sure it’s there, as I trust Willie, and Wes, but what am I missing here?

Wondering if Newhouse was offered a full ship or may be a preferred walk-on.

His stats at Westlake for 2025-2026:

i don’t think so

Maybe we could modify that graphic. Looks way too accurate in the stands.

I wonder if he’ll be developed into a TE?

If he’s 6’6” in HS, and has proven he can catch a football, I can only imagine what a beast he’ll be by his Redshirt Freshman year at UH with another year and a half of diet, nutrition, and strength and conditioning.

He’s “class of ‘26”, so when he will arrive on campus?

This will be one to watch…

I found Sr. yr highlights. Good hands, good speed and he is definitely tall!

Ok.

I found some highlights.

He is definitely tall and appears to have decent speed.

Saw him pancake a few defenders blocking too.

While his route running isn’t super crisp, he is 6’6”, so I don’t expect he’ll ever be called a jitterbug.

But he looks very situationally aware and contributes to every play, even when not targeted.

I wonder why he took so long to commit?

What were his other offers?

you attended UH anytime before the 70s?

My Westlake football friends think his best path is to develop into a TE

Do your friends know when he’ll arrive on campus?

I’m also curious to know more about his recruiting journey and, relatively speaking, why he showed up so late in the commitment process for a class of ‘26 player…

Another westlake recruit?

He’s a 6’2", 190 lbs. Safety. Two Ivy League offers, Harvard and Dartmouth, and one Service Academy, Air Force.

A leader in the making…

We seem to be getting guys who have been off the radar of our local recruiting posters. Stealth recruiting, how cool.

Maybe I’m the only one, but breaking the glass wall around Austin Westlake is huge. Lake Travis is next.

UH has to keep chipping away at the DFW area. Lots of great talent in North Texas.

Another 2026 player. He’s a 3-star according to On3. But the stars don’t mean much to me.

If Willie likes ‘em, I like ‘em.

How are we getting so many late 2026 players?

2 WRs (although 1 will probably end up a TE).

Do they all want to play with Keisean?

These are PWOs.

Thanks Ryan.

That explains a LOT.

Man, it is about recruiting relationships. Fritz’s staff is busting their tail recruiting. It is not just about stars. Fritz takes a holistic approach about the person.

Okay, now I sound like Fritz’s Press Agent.
