But he wasn’t “a guy” - it was his dad. Y’all might see it differently, but I’d be pretty unlikely to even consider talking to an employer that fired my dad. There’s too many jobs out there to do that.
Firing any mediocre coach at A&M is probably unjust because mediocrity is their tradition.
Eh, I think the coaching profession is a little different. Them that’s been fired and them that’s gonna be fired, and whatnot. Just part of the deal, especially when you only had single-digit wins in your last two seasons.
I’m not gonna argue with you….its sad that you can’t even take a pause and reflect on what I said….
Everything isn’t always black and white….i know you don’t understand what that means….
There are times when people are set up for failure and no matter how good they are, know matter how much knowledge they….they simply don’t have the resources, etc.
Basketball today is very different than it was during that time.
Feel free to respond but if you do, it’s simply to make yourself feel better….
Five of his seven seasons at aTm he had 10 or fewer wins.
Come on now. That SUCKS.
Any UH coach with such a record in basketball would definitely be considered sucky.
Hell, we’ve had coaches with higher winning percentages than Barone that likewise are regarded as having sucked here. So if they suck, then Barone definitely sucked for being even worse.
its really crazy how bad their athletic department is doing. their “big 3 sports” are all on the struggle bus and middle of the pack at best.
culture and a weak athletic director? its incredible to watch nothing work out up there at Aggieland in spite of the ridiculous amounts of money they have.
edit - they went big for Beard and McCasland and embarrassingly missed out. Settled for a hopefully for them up and comer. just a real, real bad look
