Don’t get Rice. NOONE cares or watches or goes. I know its Houston, but don’t you want a team that can win and be ranked and go bowling?

This is horrible for those AAC…those schools!!!

Only UTSA and UAB are deserving.

I knew it because they are all in large TV markets and they fit the AAC profile. This is what the TV networks want from the AAC.

Though I had Georgia State (Atlanta) instead of North Texas.

I am a little confused about N. Texas since SMU is in Dallas. Maybe Aresco thinks SMU is going to the Big12.

To play devil’s advocate, if Tulane and Tulsa fit, why not Rice?

Also, I like the Texas-centric flavor of this move. Got the Texas Triangle covered (Hou-Dal-SA).

Those 2 are no brainers but deserving isn’t the only factor they need to pay the bills. They have to get in large TV markets to not lose too much after we leave.

La Tech would have been a better choice for 1 other of the group to create a tulane rivalry. So glad we didn’t get left behind this time. It will be a good league but I like we we are. U Lou laf. would have been good as an add. Now they are full at 14 and I doubt they go 16 anytime soon.

All CUSA teams. North Texas is extremely lucky to get in.

So probably this set up for divisions.
West: SMU, Tulsa, Tulane, North Texas, Rice, UTSA, Navy
East: USF, FAU, Temple, Memphis, UAB, Charlotte, ECU

Aresco is thinking about large TV markets since that is how they are going to make money. G5s that have most of their schools in tiny towns do not get much payout. Asked the Sun Belt.

Maybe the 6 leftovers from CUSA can join the 10 Sun Belt schools and have their own 16 team conference.

It will be the G4 until the WAC in football comes online to make it 5 again.
