AI is good enough for NASA.
Where did you say that? All you did was post AI does nudies links.
You really have a reading comprehension problem. I was speaking about areas the law hasn’t caught up with in regards to AI usage. Clearly here I spoke about how people use AI.
However, previous links I posted about people using AI to create nudes were mostly posted without comment. I did make comment on one that it seems Grok is always having another scandal. If you interpreted that as me blaming AI, then you made a bad assumption.
Oh I get it, Grok/Elon. But if you look deeper, its just an easy clickbait to use Elon go get hits from people hating on him, and in fact, Grok isn’t the only one that people have misused to do nudies. But sure, focus on Grok/Musk.
But a new investigation by the Tech Transparency Project (TTP) shows that for Apple and Google, the problem of undressing apps goes far beyond Grok.
TTP identified 55 apps in the Google Play Store that can digitally remove the clothes from women and render them completely or partially naked or clad in a bikini or other minimal clothing. The investigation also found 47 such apps in the Apple App Store. That means Android and Apple users have access to dozens of apps that can create nonconsensual, sexualized images of women.
Anyway, as with anything, people will use new technology for bad purposes, even thought that’s not why something was invented. I guess its just the nature of humans.
That doesn’t absolve Elon from the valid criticism.
Anyone who allows their systems or products to be used in this way deserve criticism, including Google, Apple, ChatGPT, etc.
I don’t disagree there.
This might belong in its own thread but it certainly ties to what we were just discussing. As they are investigating complicity in the spread of these type of materials, including deep fakes, and Holocaust denial specifically from Grok.
I don’t know what the laws in France are but they are certainly different than in the US.
See, France gets it. You create a program that creates child porn? You get investigated for it. I’m sure Elon’s response will be, “But think of my business!!!”
I’m sure Elon will find a way also to use his massive wealth to buy the influence
he wants(advertising, social media…)
Dot com bubble had more to do with y2k being over with
Why does it always devolve into an anti musk thread, by the same guys?
So here’s twist, this guy see’s AI driving down the cost of products, like buying and F150 for $1000. That’s great since no one will be working.
I think that’s extremely optimistic and outlandish. I just can’t see it. If an F-150 costs only $1000 then the price of everything including the steel, copper, plastic, etc that goes into that truck would have drastically dropped as well. Which means we may be earning $1 a month or something ridiculously small for whatever work we can do.
It’s hard to take that prediction seriously.
