We have some sort of mental block versus that State i swear! I’m still worried about the team leader. I dont think we have one. Against scrubby teams we can over look it but when we’re playing superior competition it becomes apparent.
To me…this team still looks like the one that looked lost when Shead went down.
Actually that’s what gives me hope this year. We’re not so dependent on one player. We have so much depth some guys can have bad games and we still win comfortably. We will only get stronger throughout the year as well
I think our bench may be better than our starters. Jojo, TA and Mercy (with Cryer and Milos) looked really good last night. Much more active on offense and defense. Maybe sub milos for JWan for size purposes but the depth is shaping up nicely.
What do you guys believe is our strongest lineup? Maybe just depends on opponent? Is it without a doubt the current lineup we have been running out to start the game Uzan, Cryer, Sharp, J’wan and Francis?
JoJo was fantastic yesterday. Mercy continues to impress me he certainly adds something different with how he can score in multiple ways and attack the lanes. Arc has looked good too his game adds something different as well it kind of reminds me of mid range Tramon Mark.
What do you guys think as far as the lineup? At times it feels like Sharp Cryer and Uzan are all occupying too much of the same space outside.
Somebody mentioned a few games ago but I’m starting to think Sharp and LJ play too similarly. In a perfect world TA would start and one of Sharp/LJ would come off the bench. The starting lineup doesn’t have a real creator imo
What makes it work really well is how good Sharp and LJ have become on defense. Jojo and TA can both be 6th man of the year candidates. We haven’t seen a disruptive force like Tug since Bo Outlaw.
Right now I think we are trying to find out what our best lineup is when Milos is not on the floor. We have gone small ball with Tug and Walker as the bigs and then one that includes Wilson and two bigs.
I was thinking something similar about Sharpe/LJ. If one, or both, aren’t doing well perhaps a quick sub for Arc. It’s nice to have the 2 shooters out there, but if they aren’t shooting/making shots, and they aren’t driving, the offense can get ugly fast. Right now the best 2 line ups might be:
