So I disagree that we shouldn’t use trade and economics as weapons, as we do that constantly. But I like them applied surgically and with plans and objectives.
The application of these tools like a 4 year old with a paintbrush is the problem

Political board is back on?
I reserve mu judgments on tariffs until we have a clear announcement for each country. The latest updates tell us we are getting close. Everything else is pure speculation or another anti post.

When will this board make a rule for ridiculousness?
Judgments? I wrote that as an economy it is not sustainable both economically and for National security to be dependent on china or other enemies. I added to wait and see. Do you consider that a judgment?

I gave you an explanation on why these tariffs are brilliant. china is now isolated. We are on the verge of signing an agreement with India, Vietnam both countries are an economical threat to china. Latest reports china is now coming to the table. Consider it a judgement all you want. I will write it again. WAIT AND SEE.

rtcoog, why don’t you tone it down a bit? Instead of inflaming anything that someone does wait for the results. This administration has taken a tariff(s) decision. You don’t have to like but there are no reasons to trash it before you know the results.

Let me ask you and others this simple question. Why is it that some of you have so much angst against a certain someone? We have had a trade imbalance for decades. It has to be corrected. We have no choice.
