Sounds like jealousy.
One major problem in that ND is contractually obligated to join the ACC if they join a conference before 2026.
The payout comments are just petty. The conferences can choose to pay just the team in as well, but they vote to share. They choose to pay teams a share for not making the playoffs. ND gets how much of the payout when they don’t make the playoffs?
Wait and see if Clemson and FSU win or settle their lawsuits.
If they do……then await the exodus!!!
Other ACC teams will also bail, including possibly ND.

Litigation can take years! Don’t even have a trial setting that I’ve heard about.

Only way ND joins a conference is if the rule of only conference champs get a bye week in the playoffs is still enforced.
I really hope the rule stands for the CFP.

Locked on Big 12 says adding ND is now the top priority.
It’d be a shock to me if ND joined a conference like the Big 12 which does NOT contain most of its traditional rivals, and which is also not the highest paying; the B1G would be THAT conference.
BUT…ND did join the lower paying, unstable ACC for all but football…so ANYTHING is possible!
It would be cool for our other sports to play ND though.

They’d require a higher payout than rest of Conference…here comes TU entitlement levels 2.0…but ND is a true 100% Blue Blood

Comcast is paying them some good $. I suspect ND is pretty comfortable being independent.
Besides, if ND were to join, does that mean the B12 would have to bend over to their demands?

Notre Dame isnt joining Big 12. BIG and SEC and ACC would take them in a second, and theyre going to join us?? Sorry, dont think so…

Actually I see Stanford and Cal petitioning the big12 to join their 4 former colleagues in the conference. They need nearby schools to mitigate their travel. Plus big12 came out of realignment much better positioned than most expected.
