And per his video, he’s gonna use a “Creeper” to apply pressure. You can’t ask for anything better than that

He could use Dana’s old visor.
How can we feel good about this hire when UF is happy to let him go? I feel no one way or the other about this hire I guess.
Cleveland Browns fans were very happy when Bill Belicheck was fired as their head coach.
Every coach we have had has had his detractors; right now CWF has his share. Were he to leave for another job, I am sure some of those detractors would go on the other team’s board and say the same things as other teams fans say when we hire their coaches. However, those detractors don’t speak for everyone, so I give them no credence.
Im not a fan of the 4-2-5 only because we watched belk get melted with, but there are teams in the playoffs right now running a dime backer
Good point.
There is a segment on this board who will complain about any coaching hire that UH makes. They love to be negative.
Belk should have given at least HALF that money back. He gets the other half for having the ballz to collect a check without apologizing!
What century was that again?
Not sold. Stalker or Lurker would be much better…
Seriously, I like what he said at the end about what the players… (assuming he was going to say “what the players do well”).
$45 k per month?!! This is just nuts
That’s probably a normal number in the NIL age. It probably was a normal number before NIL.
Philadelphia Eagles fans were happy when they fired Andy Reid.
Yes In 1995.
UF 91st here in total def.

That had to be posted:
If that is who WF is rolling with…then I’m rolling with it.
Next UH DC could be at N TX now after SAM if it doesn’t work out.
I really do hope it works out. Trying to be optimistic about it…
Super young coach on meteoric rise. Clearly impresses successful, veteran coaches (Fritz, Saban, Smart) with his knowledge to get these opportunities. I believe his specialty is linebackers which fits well with the staff as currently constructed. Has had a rough last couple of seasons and the co-dc that was brought in is actually a guy Armstrong coached under at Louisiana. Florida fans say his scheme is complicated and the co-dc ended up simplifying things for their players.
This made me think about a couple comments from CWF. Mid season he said that the offense was too complicated and needed to be simplified so that players can do what they do best. Then after Barbay was fired CWF said that he wished that he could’ve helped him more.
So I’m thinking Armstrong probably impressed CWF and maybe Fritz, being a defensive coach, feels like Armstrong is a young guy that he can somewhat mold and be reined in if need be. If things don’t go well he can help in ways that he couldn’t with an offensive coordinator.
And in terms of game planning I think UH fans will find the defensive play style to be entertaining. Sounds like he likes exotic blitzes and forcing turnovers.
We aren’t changing our defensive philosophy, everyone take a step back from the ledge, we will be okay
You pulled me back from the brink! ![]()
I wouldn’t get too excited. He was relieved of his duties mid season and was probably getting let go after the bowl game. Hopefully a change in scenery helps him and us.
