Mercy’s father, Robert Miller, was enrolled at UH but I do not believe he was ever on the basketball roster. I’ll give you he’s a legacy, just because it is not worth arguing about.
I want Christian Gibson a local kid already rank inside the 30’s. But Jo said he’s not a priority recruit because CKS is focusing on 5 stars and unless he strikes out on them then he’ll have to look at some four star talents.
Master P signed as a part of the 1985 recruiting class
Even though his dad is Hakeem who still has ties to the program?
If we really want him I think there would be a mutual interest. At this time I don’t think he is at our level.
This story is yet to be written . . . . .
It is what it Aziz…
Joe Young was a really good player and lived up to all expectations
Agree Mr. Big, but Joe never, in my mind, reached the level of his dad, Michael. No question though Joe was a good player for UH.
Not so sure Galen Robinson Jr. exceeded Sr.
It’s hard to compare a scoring and rebounding big to a pass first defensive PG, but I don’t think Jr. exceeded Sr.
Loved that CBI win over UT at the HOF
Part of it was their body makeups - nothing like their parents and they grew up in totally different situations where the parents made it so the hunger wasn’t there plus
Galen, Sr. played during a bad era - if he played today in HS he’s a national recruit
Just not here
Galen Sr was the more heralded but Jr was a much harder worker and contributed to a winning program. Sr was really good when he wanted to be.
Galen’s dad played at UH?
He had one good year here and then after his dad got fired he played very well at Oregon…bummer, but I agreed with Penders at the time.
From 1994-1998
Went to see Galen Sr from MacArthur play against Adrian Taylor for BTW after they had both committed to UH.
He averaged 17 & 9 his jr year. Who was the last coog to do that?
Tashawn Thomas came first to mind. 16.9 ppg as a sophomore 9.8 rebs.
