Berkman didn’t get fired. He left a couple of years ago on his own accord because he wasn’t getting it done.
Woody is an ok pitching coach (I am not sure TW allows him to do anything on his own), but he is not ready to be the head coach at UH. I am not sure why the term “consensus” was used in an earlier comment about him. There might be one or two posters who want to go in that direction, but it isn’t even close to a “consensus.” We have to hire a good head coach or we will be screwed. There is no getting around that!!

Why not the Dallas Baptist coach?
If I remember correctly, the DBU coach has turned down jobs better than ours and has stated that he’s not leaving.

I hope the AD goes deep into the well and maybe hires a consultant on the side. I’d like a guy baseball people would want to hire. Somebody that knows and appreciates the today’s processes and who understands recruiting at the root level.
