Different cases doing different things but overall trends are good for the 5 in 5 players.

The judge in the California case with 75 players is being asked to grant a temporary injunction today. That is the case the BYU Center is part of.

I don’t know. It seems like the NCAA has won every appeal and stayed those injunctions.

I’ve given up trying to figure out what’s happening with specific players.

Kansas sleuths have noticed that TKR has a Kansas student email
And Melvin Council reposted a IG story that the “gang is back to together” with Tre

Neither are confirmations but it looks like Kansas is trying to land Both of them

With both Kansas will be a top 5 team…

No ruling in California. Temporary restraining order remains in place until October 20th and the next hearing. Experts say it’s positive for the players.

Article just dropped:

I think we gave up 5 offensive rebounds off of missed free throws that game. It was an issue all year.

When a perimeter posts up one of our perimeter players, we send our X5 to monster or trap. Chase takes away baseline and X5 takes away the middle. If you’re guarding someone on the trap side, you deny the pass back out. That leaves two defenders. They are on the “blue line” or help line like two running backs in an I formation. Blue line because Kelvin puts down blue tape dividing the court in halves. I call them the High I and the Low I. Kelvin calls them the MIG ( most important guy) and the crackback man. In this video McCarty lets his man beat him baseline which he shouldn’t do because he has help in the middle. Uzan, the Low I has to make sure he’s in front of anybody on the opposite block. Sharp is denying the pass back out and Kingston is the High I. Kingston would take the first pass to his side of the floor and Uzan would recover and take whoever is the other player. Tugler returns to his original player he was guarding. Those are the rules for Monstering the post.

It was a brilliant baseline move, though…

And an even better recovery by Cha$e!

It seems Florida will still have our number on defense.

I saw they had the 3 Florida bigs listed as top defenders. Not sure how thats going to translate because when they were knocked out by Iowa this year, Chinyelu was in foul trouble and did not contribute on the offensive end. He did not play much in the championship game vs us either, but JoJo only played 16 minutes. Just 16…but they allowed our guys off the bench to put up some good numbers to keep us with a chance to win it all.

Looking to next year, seems like our team will be designed to deal with bigs like Florida much better than even the 2024 team. 4 bigs that are taller and athletic. True SFs and rebounding guards at the 2. We can definitely match up better with big teams.

This list is not considering Chase on defense who i think will be somewhere on it by season’s end. And it does not consider Weaver since he is a bench player i assume, but should give us 20 minutes when needed. So Florida has 3 tall defenders in the paint, but we also have Chase and Weaver for the perimeter…i give us the edge.

We need 30+ minutes from Jojo this season… gotta have him on the court most of the game.

As much as i love hearing about the 4 man rotation and being like the 2022 team…i agree. Jojo has to play 30 minutes or more

Im hoping an average 30 for Recco and Jojo…
10 for East and Diane…all minutes aggressive and high energy and not out there avoiding foul trouble. In the last two years, Jojo has barely played in some of our most important games, so we really dont know how good we could have been

Remember when they dogged Pesik for hyping up Krivas? I remember.

for future seasons developments (planning for multiple seasons)… i want diane definitely getting 15mins

id limit expectations for him on the 1st season, but once he figures out where he is supposed to be in our rotations, the technical aspects of our system start being 2nd nature to him and he can just focus on playing his game, he will be one of the best players in the country
think jwan who was sorta deer in head lights as a freshmen, but dominated as a junior onwards… but 5inches taller and 50lbs heavier

you have to invest early developmental minutes to speed up him up even if jojo and reek could play 30mins each

almost the same for east, as the early roster set up for the 28 season is looking like he will start… jojo most likely wants to go to the league next year, and reek is out of eligibility … Diane starts next year … neither of the committed PFs are likely year 1 starters… east on paper is our starter next year… get him developmental minutes… or we might need to go to the portal… and have like 5 pfs on roster

I mean this is just a preseason award… what’s your point?

I remember people questioning whether Krivas could be the #1 option at Zona and whether he was good enough to carry Zona this year… I wouldn’t call that dogging him.

Jury is still out on whether he can be the man…

I think Jojo is going to be POY. If Jojo does 15, 8 & plays his normal defense would that be enough or does he need to average 20 per game to have a shot at POY?
