Big 12 Football 2025-2026

That was in 2022. Only the FCS game (Tarleton) had an announced attendance below 44,000. Likely many less actually in the stands. But I don’t drive up for the FCS games and that lack of attendance is true for most all FBS schools for FCS games. All other games were pretty well attended.

This is probably what he’s referring to

Could be. TCU does do the mini plans to promote sales for lower games by attaching to higher popularity games. It is not new in the sports world, and no fans were denied entry or canceled tickets due to their fandom. BYU fans could still get tickets from their school and the aftermarket season ticket holders selling online. Only the mini plan had restrictions.

I think that was 2023. Each season picking a popular game to tie to an unpopular games is a sales technique. Schools should take it as a badge of pride they were thought to be popular. Kind of reverse of picking the easy opponent for the homecoming game.

Posting things like that are how wild rumors get way out of hand. Kind of like how BYU tried to kill off the MWC to avoid paying exit fees. They tried to get SDSU to leave with them leaving the conference to disband. SDSU did not bite and chose to stay in the MWC. Wild rumor or truth?

Good! Business trip!

Last time ISU wore red/white/red vs. KState:

This morning, the ACC Network was previewing SMU Football. I couldn’t change the channel fast enough.

"TCU is now offering the Keep It Purple Plan as the only option to purchase single game tickets for BYU or Texas for this 2023 football season!

This package is not available for resale.

TCU Athletics tickets/parking are intended for use primarily by the original purchaser. TCU reserves the right to review all transactions and revoke tickets/parking from any account determined by TCU, in its sole discretion, to be a violation of TCU policies or intent. No refund, exchange or credit will be given."

We’re tickets not available on secondary markets?

Yes but show up in the wrong shirt and they could turn you away. So it was said.

BYU has like 5k-15k fans show up at the road football games I’ve been to. It’s an above average road turnout but not a stadium takeover. I don’t think they need to worry about it lol.

They said they were not for resale… I was going to fly out for that game but ended up choosing a different game.

Right so you could’ve just light the tickets off a secondary market. Doubt they would’ve not let you in for wearing a BYU shirt lmao

The mini plan tickets weren’t for resale. You could’ve bought a single game ticket off a secondary market.

Yes, a lie. No one has ever been turned away because of their shirt color. But people keep repeating it and it keeps the lie alive. Don’t be one of those people.

This. There were plenty of tickets for sale from season ticket holders and brokers. UT fans had no problem getting in.

All three of them playing well.

Hut I think may be cementing himself on the roster as a legitimate NFL player.

But then you don’t know if the seat you bought was a season ticket or one they wouldn’t let you in with.regardless, it doesn’t matter.

Isn’t it what TCU wanted? They want people to think they can’t get in if they aren’t a TCU fan or in the away section. That was the goal.

If the ticket wasn’t meant to be resold then StubHub or SeatGeek wouldn’t have let the seller list it. Next time rest easy knowing you’ll be able to get into the game.

Really? Interesting.

I will say is Xavier Hutchinson is a gamer… perhaps moreso that any other Cyclone player in my time watching them. You name the player, even Purdy, and I’d probably give X the nod that he was more of a gamer.

He just has an uncanny ability to just make plays when you need him to, he’s almost better when the coverage is better because it gives him something he can use his craftiness and grit against. He’s not going to blow you away with any one tool, but you put it all together and he’s just a baller. Criminally underrated IMO.

The young pups have more sizzle, Higgins is a smoother flashier version of X. But he’s the kind of guy you love to have on your squad. Guys like Hutch are just going to give themselves every chance to be consistent and productive under any circumstance you throw at them.
